“Players with fight never lose a game, they just run out of time.” - John Wooden
The Four Horsemen stampeding across my frontal lobe these days continue to be the Fed, AI, Covid & Twitter.
The Federal Reserve, an unelected un-auditable entity will determine whether we have a modest recession or a whopper of a recession. For all intents and purposes, most of the country has been in a recession for the last year or so. Incoming inflation data will determine whether the Fed is done, and what path the economy is likely to take in 2023.
Every week we spend an hour in Alpha360 Foundations on a live zoom going over everything you need to know about money, markets & investing. I’m considering re-launching another newsletter that focuses on financial and economic analysis. Would you like to keep Sovereign Sunday as is and have me launch a separate financial newsletter, or incorporate more market commentary here. Let me know!
As I've written about in the last 2 letters, AI is an exponential technology that will keep expanding at an accelerating rate and affect everything around us from artistic creation, coding and dating to mass employment and everything in between.
The race to determine better and faster Ai systems, culminating in Artificial General Intelligence, is the Cold War Arms Race of our century. The winner, whether US or China, will determine the direction of the world over the next 5 decades. Regardless of the winner, we're not even ready for the game to be played, as safeguards aren’t adequately in place and we are not prepared for the ethical, physical and quantum changes that Ai will produce in society.
That leaves Covid and Twitter, the two inextricably linked zeitgeists of the decade.
Covid is Oppenheimer’s heir, the destroyer of worlds. And I don't mean Covid the virus, but our response to Covid, perpetrated by Fauci and the Deep State swarm.
The ugly reality is that Old Twitter enabled and promulgated the entire economic and public health nightmare. With the release of the Twitter Files, it’s become abundantly clear that Twitter was a Big Tech leviathan run by woke millennials and a fascist enterprise in the true definition of the term - the close cooperation between government and corporations.
Twitter received marching orders from the woke swarm below and from its government handlers above while conspiring to implement a false narrative by shadowbanning, suspending, blocking and 'fact checking' anyone who deviated from the chosen Narrative.
Remember, the Regime in conjunction with Twitter’s censorship and amplification tools made sure that we knew without a doubt that:
Covid didn't leak from a lab,
The economy had to be shut and locked down;
Masks work flawlessly;
Nobel Prize winning Ivermectin is a useless horse dewormer; and
The vaccines are safe and effective, stopping transmission and infection.
Every SINGLE one of these Regime shibboleths turned out to be DEAD wrong. Millions of people died because access to early intervention treatments were blocked and economically, hundreds of thousands of businesses were destroyed and the economy with it. The lockdowns and Covid response necessitated the Fed printing an avalanche of dollars which along with Biden's idiotic policies and spending bills caused the inflation that is currently decimating our nation.
Add in the mountain of debt we incurred, widespread social strife and general lack of trust we appropriately have for most institutions, and we’re living through a low-scale collapse of the American Experiment as it becomes obvious the Emperor has No Clothes.
So when I say ‘Covid destroyed the world’, I don’t mean the virus blew us up like the asteroid that allegedly killed the dinosaurs (even the deep sea ones really? 🤔).
I mean the people that funded, designed and leaked the virus and our insane response to it all. Had we simply done NOTHING at all and treated it like bird flu or any other virus, we would’ve ended up in a much better position. Had we used widely available and inexpensive therapeutics like Ivermectin, it wouldn’t have been much worse than a bad flu season.
These days in the epic Twitter saga, it’s hilarious to see CNN and the like run headlines and hysteria over Musk suspending several journalists for doxxing his real time info. Remember, these are the same people who loudly laughed and defended Old Twitter's right to arbitrarily and punitively ban people from the Right like Trump along with doctors and scientists who knew the Covid vaccine was dangerous and ineffective. Their smiling response to outrage from conservatives and free speech proponents was always, "Twitter's a private company, it can do what it wants."
While it’s a sweet karmic shower watching pieces of human garbage like Keith Olbermann and Aaron Rupar be suspended when they cheer-leaded the suspension of conservatives for no reason, I support their reinstatement.
As a free speech advocate, you have to listen to disgusting speech sometimes as well. All we really need to do is hold them to the same standard conservatives are held too and they'll be fact checked out of existence or remove themselves voluntarily now that they have to compete on an even battlefield of ideas. After all, we know when those are the ground rules, Dems can't compete. Now that they no longer have the refs in their pocket, I look forward to seeing them getting annihilated on Twitter and elsewhere.
After the release of the Twitter Files, we know Twitter was the very definition of fascism - a corporation working hand in hand with their government handlers to disseminate misinformation and government propaganda that would make Pravda blush. They might as well have been running the company out of DHS headquarters.
The manipulation and gaslighting had become so overt and broad, that it had people question their own understanding of truth and sanity. That's why Elon's insurgency to capture Twitter was so vital. Hopefully he stays committed to the path he’s on and can avoid being suicided by 72 stab wounds in the back. If he can, there’s a chance sanity, objectivity, independence and free speech make a triumphant return in 2023. Forget Ukraine, gay marriage or Climate Change. This is the most important battle out there.
Mike Solana captures the gist of it in his excellent essay this week. Highly recommend the whole article linked below in ‘What I’m Reading” this week.
“In 1787, Edmund Burke said there were “Three Estates in Parliament; but, in the Reporters' Gallery yonder, there [sits] a Fourth Estate more important than they all." The notion of some vital power beyond our government was imported to the New World, and today constitutes a core belief of the American liberal: there is no free people, we’re often told, without a free press independent of congress, the courts, and our president. But throughout the 20th Century thousands of media outlets gradually consolidated, and by the dawn of our internet era only a few giants remained. These giants largely shared a single perspective, and in rough agreement with the ruling class the Fourth Estate naturally came to serve, rather than critique, power. This relationship metastasized into something very close to authoritarianism during the Covid-19 pandemic, when a single state narrative was written by the press, and ruthlessly enforced by a fifth and final fount of power in the newly-dominant technology industry.
It was a dark alliance of estates, accurate descriptions of which were for years derided as delusional, paranoid, even dangerous. But today, on account of a single shitposting billionaire, the existence of the One Party’s decentralized censorship apparatus is now beyond doubt.
A couple weeks back, alleging proof Twitter acted with gross political bias, and in a manner that influenced U.S. elections (!), Elon Musk opened his new company’s internal communications to a small handful of journalists. They set immediately to breaking a series of major stories that have rewritten the history of Trump-era tech. Long story short, Twitter leadership lied to the public, relentlessly, for years, and everything the most paranoid among us ever said about the platform was true. “Trust and safety” is a euphemism for political censorship, with “expert” teams comprised almost exclusively of the most radical, joyless grievance studies majors you ever met in college. Their goal is to reshape American politics by dominating the bounds of what the public is permitted to consider American politics. In these efforts, they have mostly been succeeding.
As an aside, let's not forget. The FBI had 80 agents monitoring jokes random people made on Twitter but couldn't send one agent to respond to the two tips they got about the guy who would end up committing the deadliest shooting at a high school in American history at Uvalde.
The Feds also had plenty of time to plan and orchestrate the January 6th psyop that has left hundreds of rowdy trespassers in prison without due process, while neglecting the epidemic of sex trafficking and pedophilia permeating our nation.
The next administration should wipe the slate clean and holds them accountable.
Trump’s Involuntary Retirement
Between the multiple state criminal cases ongoing, the Mar-A-Lago classified ‘secrets’ investigation and the pending criminal referrals for the January 6th nonsense, it’s obvious that the Democratic strategy is to indict and arrest Trump to prevent him from running again.
Strategically, my gut says the DNC and powers that be are making a mistake. In true Obi Wan fashion, if you arrest Trump, you'll make him more powerful than ever and rile up his base.
Then again, when have the Dems ever done anything rational or intelligent in the last decade?
Perhaps it’s time for them to put down Rules for Radicals and read Sun Tzu’s the Art of War.
Paraphrasing Napoleon here, one of the key tenets of waging a hybrid war is to never interrupt your enemy when he is in the process of destroying himself.
And Trump has certainly been on that path of self-destruction for the last 4 years. The Donald was the right man in the right place in 2015. Very few people on Earth could have withstood the avalanche of media and regime corruption and beaten the Machine. In retrospect, the only reason he did win was likely because the polling was so lopsided that Dems figured they didn't have to show up with their vaunted ground and fraud game.
Even after the long shot election win, surviving the soft coup launched by the intelligence community and the DNC aka the Russia Collusion hoax was no small feat. The basis for the Russia nonsense was the Steele Dossier which was paid for by Hillary Clinton and the DNC, and for which no intelligence community operative or Democratic politician has ever paid a price for.
This was an actual coup d’etat akin to the CIA’s assassination of President Kennedy. It was deliberately planned and funded to succeed, unlike the Jan 6th LARPing that Dems and their servants in the Regime Media have tried to portray as an 'insurrection' (the first unarmed insurrection in history where mostly peaceful protestors were escorted into the Capitol building by the police and took selfies).
If you've followed me on Twitter or elsewhere, you know I was a fan of Trump and voted for him in 2016 and 2020. His policies gave us the strongest economy in my lifetime and he pushed back against the multi-decade liberal madness of mass illegal immigration, woke culture, insanely high taxes, suffocating regulation and the most expensive and bloated health care system in the world.
The above were important, but by far the most important accomplishment of Trump's candidacy and presidency was that he had the guts to shatter the deceptive facade of 'fake news' and expose modern media for what it truly was - an elitist club of sycophantic propagandists pushing a radical agenda that sought only to promote marching orders from the Regime. It took incredible bravery to call out those who were controlling so much of public discourse, but Trump did — and reminded all Americans just how essential truth is in our society today.
For years, the media had been blatantly biased in its reporting—but it wasn't until Trump came along that he made a statement leaving no doubt: real journalism was deader than disco and all that remained were political lapdogs regurgitating an agenda detrimental to everyday Americans.
That alone changed the societal equation and incentivized conservatives to start building their own parallel media outlets. The birth of Substack allowed writers and analysts exiled from the Cathedral for dissenting views to have a decentralized outlet that information hungry citizens could seek out for high grade minority reports and sensemake current events.
The Information Diet bifurcation is still the biggest problem in this country and Trump was the one who peeled back the layer of corruption to reveal that most media executives and journalists are the tobacco executives of our era, and should be treated with equal disdain. While many on the Right are aware of these vipers and jackals, the Left still clings stubbornly to their 'credentialed' sources who have a historical track record on par with the Cleveland Browns.
After all, how many of these hoaxes below did the media (and our idiotic liberal friends) fall for?
Have some fun and forward the list to your liberal friends or bring it to Christmas dinner and ask your family how many were hoodwinked by the above? It's especially fun with Millenials and Gen Z. Just make sure you've eaten dinner first.
To continue, the point I was making is that the Donald Trump of 2015-2019 doesn't remotely resemble the Trump of the last 4 years. He’s become an abject embarrassment.
Like Dave Eggers said, “Live long enough and you’ll disappoint everyone.” In this case, ex-heavyweight champion Trump is more like the version of Larry Holmes fighting Mike Tyson than Holmes fighting Ken Norton. He's so completely off base and tone with everything he does that if the Dems weren't consumed by TDS and throwing him in jail, they'd pause to see he's his own worst enemy (and that of the Republican party).
Between getting blown out in the 2018 midterms and his awful 2020 campaign (can you imagine the Trump of 2016 losing a debate to a Demented Corpse like Biden? 🤦🏻♂️) and his total incompetence at doing nothing to ensure election integrity in 2020, the man deserved to lose.
Add in his petulant bashing of DeSantis - the only Republican who came thru Covid not only unscathed but stronger after planting the flag of freedom and sanity in Florida - and it’s clear he’s closer to Tom Brady 2023 than the Brady of 2017 who came back from a 25 point deficit at halftime to beat the Atlanta Falcons.
Sadly, the laundry list above isn’t even Trump’s biggest problem.
His Achilles heel is his undying (for now) support for the MRNA ‘vaccine’ (the first vaccine in history that does nothing to prevent you from catching or spreading the virus, and actually makes you more likely to become infected, hospitalized and die after a comically short period of modest protection).
Trump’s narcissistic ego can't let him acknowledge that he was played across the board by the CCP, Fauci and the powers that be on the Covid response and vaccine rollout.
As we've said before, the colossal failure of the vaccine wouldn't be the end of the world if it’s only downside was just that it didn't work. They can move the goal lines all they want, but even in the light most favorable, the vax offers modest protection (not from infection or transmission) from a severe case for 2-3 months (and that includes a 2 week period post-vaccine where you're more likely to get infected and die). That's it. After 3 months, you're more likely to get infected, hospitalized AND die than the unvaccinated.
The bigger problem is that the vax is not 'safe'; in fact, it's the opposite of safe. It’s Orwellian 'safe, just like 'war is peace and freedom is slavery.’
The vax is the most dangerous vaccine and pharmaceutical product in human HISTORY by a wide margin. It injured or killed more people in the first 3 months than ALL VACCINES IN HISTORY COMBINED.
The swine flu vaccine was yanked from the market after killing 3 people and causing a handful of Guillaine-Barre cases. The Covid vaccine has injured over a million people and killed at least 30,000 in the US according to VAERS, and the real number is believed to be closer to 500,000 as VAERS is known to dramatically underreport. There's a reason people are 'dying suddenly' left and right and it ain’t Climate Change.
When all is said and done, the Covid MRNA ‘vaccine’ itself will likely kill many more than the virus itself.
Trump is completely tone deaf to this catastrophe and continues touting the ‘success’ of Operation Warp Speed and the MRNA experimental gene therapy.
The great champion of free markets and responsible immigration has traded his role as a beacon of hope for America First to become an old shill and shadow of his former self, peddling pharmaceuticals in pursuit of shameless gain.
I know this take will lose me some fans, as the hard-core Trump element refuses to recognize Trump’s decline and the current pieces on the chessboard.
As someone who voted for him twice and will still vote for him over any Democrat, I can safely say he is by far the weakest candidate the Republicans can put forward. His hiring practices were abominable (Jeff Sessions, Chris Wray, John Bolton, etc).
He hasn’t had a coherent or principled position on anything in 4 years, and he is the only candidate that Dem sideline sitters would turn out and vote en masse to defeat. In other words, he’s the Hillary Clinton of the Republican Party (ouch).
He did nothing to improve election integrity and security leading up to 2020 even after being suspiciously blown out in the 2018 midterms while we had the strongest economy on record and he’s done nothing but embarrass himself and the party since 2019.
His latest brilliant idea (besides ripping up the Constitution) is NFTs. And it is brilliant. When you can sell $5M+ worth of cartoon jpeg playing cards to your fans in 24 hours to fund your legal defense and line your pockets, why not do it? Remember all that money he raised for ‘Stop the Steal’ that didn’t go to stopping anything but his own legal bills?
Please stop sending this man money.
Coalesce around DeSantis, a proven leader tested in the Cauldron of Covid that passed with flying colors. He’s continuing to lead the way by protecting children from the experimental clotshot and is going after the CDC, vaccine makers and public health officials to hold them accountable.
Everyone else should get out of the way. The stakes are too high and the rest of the field haven’t “passed through fire and death to bandy crooked words with a witless worm.”
In reality, we know the candidate won't be Biden, who can barely make it from his bedroom to the bathroom without saying something incomprehensibly stupid and sniffing an adolescent girl. The Dems know that even with the ability to commit widespread ballot harvesting and outright fraud, running Biden against DeSantis would be suicide.
Expect a better candidate than the sleepwalking corpse in the White House, and prepare accordingly. DeSantis is by far the best chance we have to return some moral leadership and sanity to the White House.
SBF/FTX Update
Looks like little Sammy got his comeuppance this week as he was arrested by Bahamian authorities at the request of the US Department of Justice. The timing was suspect, occurring right before SBF was supposed to testify in front of Congress. Extradition and a plea is likely next, although it’s possible that Sam’s lawyers convince him to take his chances at trial with the penalties he is facing. Under federal sentencing guidelines, it’s likely SBF never spends another day outside of prison.
"I've been sad my whole life" Sam stated in his leaked statement. Sounds like the table is being set for suicide. Want to be the camera goes out on this one too?
10 Things I Would Tell My 25 Year Old Self
1. Stop Buying Dumb Stuff
Most people have nothing to show for the last $1,000 they spent. It's a giant waste of an important resource. If you are going to buy something dumb, make it sparingly and inexpensive.
2. Life Isn't Fair
Stop trying to make it fair. Go make life unfair to your advantages instead. We are all dealt a different hand. It's what we do with it that actually matters.
3. Go to the Gym and Never Stop
The physical benefits are nice, but the mental benefits are the most impactful. Exercise is an effective form of therapy. It is as necessary as brushing your teeth.
4. Your Employer Doesn't Care About You
They will pay you just enough to keep you around and not a penny more. Be selfish when it comes to how you make your living.
5. An Hourly Wage is EXTREMELY Inefficient
I have no hate for 9-5 workers, but this is just reality.
Build something—anything that can earn while you sleep.
It's not as hard as you think it is.
6. Alcohol Has No Benefit, Whatsoever
It makes you less productive, increases cortisol, and gives you a false sense of security. Most people drink it because they are running from something, they just don't want to admit it.
7. Cheer For Yourself More Than Your Sports Team
Just about everyone does the opposite and then wonders why they're so unfulfilled. Chase your dreams, don't just watch other people do it.
8. Invest Early and Invest Often
Compound interest is the most powerful concept on this entire planet. Buy things that grow or pay you to own them consistently, as soon as possible. Do it early enough and work becomes optional REAL quick.
9. Practice Positivity, Every Day
Complaining is a weak cop-out that only annoys other people. When you want to complain, ask yourself: "Will this matter tomorrow?" 99% of the time, it won't.
10. Not Taking Risk, Is The Greatest Risk
Never taking a risk is a surefire way to have regret as you age. Place small life bets that have way more upside, than downside.

"You take the blue pill... the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe that the COVID vaccines are “safe and effective,” that ivermectin doesn’t work, that the CDC, FDA, mainstream media, and medical community are telling you the truth to keep you safe, and that Fauci is a hero. You take the red pill... you keep your critical thinking skills, your subscription to Sovereign Sunday, and I show you just how deep the rabbit hole goes."

Military Vax Mandate is Over: Shamefully, they haven’t yet those brave souls who were dismissed for refusing the clotshot. On the bright side, not even the usual Regime suspects like CNN, Wapo and the NY Times were complaining about this. Seems like the Good Guys are taking territory and moving the ball towards the goal line - full accountability for the architects and public health who enabled and pushed this travesty.
China ‘Zero Covid’ Lockdowns Over - This has sizable implications for the global economy, especially commodities if they really end their disastrous Zero Covid policy. Look for commodities to be bid throughout 2023 absent the Fed overdoing things on the tightening side and making the recession worse.
Crude oil had an awful week, losing $9 to close at $71, falling five days out of five. That’s a new 12-month low. It was a new 12-month low for gasoline as well. Part of this due to the continued draining of the SPR despite the election being over. We’re starting to move from a craven election ploy to lower gas prices to a strategic threat to the well-being of the country.
Binance will continue to be stress tested this week. I think they survive, but my advice remains the same. Get your money and coins off centralized exchanges.
Whistleblower Brook Jackson gave additional testimony that Pfizer lied and committed fraud with the results from the Covid vaccine trials. Jackson noted at least 10 cases of anaphylaxis during the trial. Pfizer reported….zero. That’s quite a difference. I’ll say it again as I have since early 2021, Pfizer and Moderna are zeroes if the truth ever comes out. Both committed fraud and are responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands if not millions of people. Not only are they zeroes, but the executives are going to prison for life. If, and only if, the truth comes out.

Parting Quote:
There will be times when the struggle seems impossible. I know this already. Alone, unsure, dwarfed by the scale of the enemy. Remember this. Freedom is a pure idea. It occurs spontaneously and without instruction. Random acts of insurrection are occurring constantly throughout the galaxy. There are whole armies, battalions that have no idea that they've already enlisted in the cause. Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward. And then remember this. The Imperial need for control is so desperate because it is so unnatural. Tyranny requires constant effort. It breaks, it leaks. Authority is brittle. Oppression is the mask of fear. And know this, the day will come when all these skirmishes and battles, these moments of defiance will have flooded the banks of the Empire's authority and then there will be one too many. One single thing will break the siege. Remember this. Try.
