Choosing a "word of the year" on January 1st is a practice adopted by some individuals as a form of intention-setting for the year ahead. This single word serves as a guiding principle or theme, encapsulating their aspirations, goals, and the mindset they wish to maintain throughout the year.
Unlike specific resolutions, which can be rigid and often abandoned, a word of the year offers a more flexible approach to personal growth and development. It acts as a constant reminder of one's priorities and values, helping to steer decisions, actions, and attitudes in a direction that aligns with their overall vision for the year. This practice encourages mindfulness and reflection, making it easier for individuals to stay focused on their broader objectives amidst the complexities of daily life.
In past years, I’ve embraced words such as “relentless”, “inside” and “family.”
These were my personal words.
In recent months, I've engaged in discussions with various friends, during which we chose a word that encapsulates our broader vision or theme for society as a whole, reflecting the trends we anticipate unfolding over the year.
The word I've selected for this year is "vigilantism."
Remember, the first and most important role of government is to maintain a monopoly on the use of violence, and to help protect people from violent crime.
When the government fails miserably on its most basic mission, people will inevitably take matters into their own hands.
In the last few weeks, we’ve seen a barrage of reminders that the self-inflicted social chaos and damage that’s been perpetrated against us is reaching that boiling point where people will exercise their own natural rights.
In New York, videos circulated of squatters illegally taking over someone’s house and then refusing to leave when the homeowner (and police) showed up.
I know it’s hard to believe, but in many blue states and cities, people who illegally enter your house and attempt to live there actually have ‘rights.’
Squatters rights.
Just saying it sounds stupid and foreign.
In NY during the same week, a woman was beaten to death when she returned home and found squatters.
Not be outdone in this tragi-comic liberal farce, the squatters themselves were subleasing the property to other squatters who weren’t happy with the conditions.
This lawless idiocy has now opened the door to a new field of specialized ‘consultants’ equipped to handle such situations.
Here’s the game plan: The homeowner whips up a new lease agreement with the consultant, who then takes up residence alongside the squatters, creating a less than hospitable environment for them. Should the squatters resort to involving law enforcement, the consultant is backed by a legitimate lease, verified by the homeowner.
Typically, these consultants are FAFO types, skilled in exerting a sometimes subtle sometimes not so subtle pressure. Their presence alone is often enough to persuade squatters to vacate the premises voluntarily in a matter of days.
The speed of Vigilantism has been slow because the government has intentionally inflicted massive, partisan punishment on anyone that dares defend themselves.
That’s always the next step in the communist playbook.
First, unleash the Unhumans and the forces of anarchy.
Then, further demoralize the populace by severely punishing anyone that dares to defend themselves.
The Daniel Perry case was a perfect example.
His arrest was akin to a billboard in Times Square, broadcasting a chilling message: any noble soul daring to intervene in the city's escalating crime wave to protect the innocent from a violent felon, will now find themselves treated like one.
The narrative is quite simple: Men like Daniel Penny stood between order and chaos for over a thousand years in the West. That’s why they want to destroy him. It’s pure evil.
It should come as no surprise. The shadow rulers of this country want the populace depressed and demoralized, living in fear. It’s why they’ve enabled crime to run rampant and punished those who would dare put on the armor and take up the sword against the degeneracy and destructiveness running amuck. As I’ve written before, it’s a page right out of the Bolshevik Playbook and Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals.
When individuals have strived to adhere to the letter of the law (despite massive evidence that their rulers have opted out or are subject to a different set of rules entirely), only to be failed by the government's negligence, the turn towards vigilantism can sometimes seem not just justified but inevitable.
The core principle that underpins conservative and libertarian ideologies is a profound respect for the rule of law, individual rights, and the protection of private property. When a government, entrusted with the sacred duty of upholding these principles, falters in its responsibilities, it leaves its citizens in a precarious position.
The failure of a government to protect its people and their property rights strikes at the heart of social contract theory, which posits that individuals consent to surrender some of their freedoms and submit to the authority of the state in exchange for protection of their remaining rights.
When this exchange is breached, and individuals find themselves victims of crime or injustice without recourse, the very foundation of their trust in governmental institutions is eroded.
In such a scenario, when the mechanisms designed to safeguard the populace and their assets are either ineffective or corrupt, the fabric of society begins to unravel.
Law-abiding citizens, who have played by the rules only to be met with indifference or harm by the very system meant to protect them, may feel compelled to take matters into their own hands. This is not born out of a desire for chaos or lawlessness but rather from a deep-seated sense of self-preservation and justice.
Here's where the rubber meets the road: when the system fails us, when our calls for help echo into the void, what is left?
Vigilantism isn't a choice; it's the corner we're backed into when every other option has been stripped away. It's the raw, unfiltered reaction to watching the rule book get torched by the very people sworn to uphold it.
This isn't about taking the law into our own hands for the thrill of it. Far from it.
It's about survival, about standing up when you've been left to fall. It's about the gut punch you feel when you realize you're on your own, and if you don't step up, no one will.
So, here we are, not because we want to be, but because we have to be.
It's not anarchy we're after; it's accountability.
It's about sending a message loud and clear: if you won't protect us, we'll protect ourselves.
And maybe, just maybe, that'll light a fire under those who've forgotten why they're there in the first place.
Remember, it's not vigilantism by choice—it's vigilantism by necessity. And in a world that's lost its way, sometimes, it's the only way to remind them of the path back.
That’s why it’s my word of the year.
When the government (intentionally) fails, people inevitably will take matters into their own hands.
This will continue until the rules are reset and enforced.
It’s been a one-way street for the last 7 years.
It’s not going to be pretty when the tide turns.
And remember, it doesn’t take everyone to become a Tony Soprano, Jack Reacher or Charles Bronson to force change.
Throughout history, the transformation of political landscapes has often been instigated not by the overwhelming majority, but by a small, highly motivated, and strategically organized fraction of the population. This minority, burning with a fervor for change and armed with a vision for a different future, has repeatedly demonstrated that numbers alone do not dictate the potential for revolution or the overthrow of entrenched political orders.
A quintessential example of this phenomenon is the American Revolution. Contrary to the popular belief that a vast majority of colonists took up arms against British rule, historical accounts suggest that "active forces in the field against King George's tyranny never amounted to more than 3% of the colonists."
This small yet resolute group of revolutionaries, through strategic guerrilla warfare, extensive use of propaganda, and international alliances, managed to dismantle the British colonial hold on America. The success of the American Revolution underscores how a well-organized and committed group can achieve monumental change, even against a seemingly insurmountable adversary like the mighty British Empire.
Moving across the Atlantic and forward in time, the Russian Revolution of 1917 offers another stark illustration. The Bolsheviks, a faction within the Russian socialist movement, were far from representing the majority of the Russian population.
Yet, through adept organization, leadership, and timing, they managed to seize control in the October Revolution, leading to the fall of the Provisional Government and the eventual establishment of the Soviet Union. The Bolsheviks' ability to galvanize the support of key segments of society, including workers and soldiers, and their effective use of slogans like "Peace, Land, and Bread" played a crucial role in their successful bid for power.
Similarly, the Cuban Revolution of the late 1950s is a testament to the power of a small, determined group to effectuate political upheaval. Fidel Castro and his band of merely 82 guerrilla fighters initially landed in Cuba to challenge the authoritarian regime of Fulgencio Batista.
Despite initial setbacks, their ranks swelled as they garnered peasant support, using the Sierra Maestra mountains as a base for guerrilla warfare. Their relentless campaign, coupled with widespread discontent with Batista's regime, eventually led to the revolutionary overthrow of the government and the establishment of a socialist state in Cuba.
These examples from diverse historical contexts and geographies illustrate a recurring theme: the course of history can be, and often is, altered by a minority. What these groups lacked in numbers, they compensated for with unyielding commitment to their cause, strategic acumen, and the ability to inspire and mobilize broader societal support. Their legacies serve as powerful reminders that in the dynamics of social and political change, the quality of conviction and strategy often outweighs the quantity of participants.
It’s important to remember, most of the people responsible for our accelerating dystopia aren’t evil, or opponents, they’re merely indifferent and drunk on 21st century Soma - football, porn, gambling, weed, tv, video games…
Huxley had it right. Medicated contentment, government incentivized obsession with consumerism and a debt/inflation supported caste system all serve to keep Joe Public satiated and sedated, even when his world is disintegrating. Even Orwell admitted it in his famous letter - first numb the plebs with pleasure and distraction (Huxley’s famous Soma from Brave New World), then an authoritarian big brother boot.
It’s very short and worth a read. Here it is in full.

Here’s the money line for non-link clickers.
“Within the next generation I believe that the world’s rulers will discover that infant conditioning and narco-hypnosis are more efficient, as instruments of government, than clubs and prisons, and that the lust for power can be just as completely satisfied by suggesting people into loving their servitude as by flogging and kicking them into obedience.”
Does that not resemble our current day with the mass grooming of children by the wannabe communists in teaching roles?
The endless agitprop flowing from the airwaves of the Idiot Box (TV)?
The majority of our nation on antidepressants or anxiety whom require weed or alcohol just to get thru the day?
We’re numb because we live in insufferable times. Rather than numbing, perhaps we should say ‘enough’ and push back. That’s what vigilantism is about.
It manifests individually when the government utterly fails in its most basic tasks: control the border, enforce contractual and private property rights, preserve individual liberties…
This breakdown is evident everywhere. Even in the highest court of the land as the latest diversity hire - Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson made this galling statement in open court last week:
“My biggest concern is your view has the First Amendment hamstringing the government in significant ways…” (first 90 sec of clip below, and Taibbi’s response is worth a listen)
That’s the whole POINT of the 1st Amendment. How did you get thru law school, clerking, practice and a career as a Judge without understanding that???
It’s like the pitcher walking off the mound with 2 strikes bc he thinks he struck the batter out.
It’s one of the most basic elements of the Constitution.
But sadly, it’s also par for the course. This anti-constitutionalism runs rampant in one party.
And you can’t have one side abide by the rules and the other completely ignore it.
Ultimately, it is adherence to the Constitution, along with respect for divine guidance and the principles of natural law and rights as outlined in biblical and Judeo-Christian teachings, that acts as a bulwark against unrestrained barbarism.
When that gets ignored and discarded, the end result is obvious.
It devolves into fascism and retribution.
From whichever side ends up ‘winning’.
Lightning Round
Here’s a quick round up of the stories you need to know.
Congress - Spending Bill & Tik Tok - Fruit of the Poisonous Tree
Let's keep it basic: Can we actually trust anything Congress churns out these days?
From Friday’s filthy and monstrous $1.2 Trillion spending bill which was 1000 pages long and Congressmen were given one day to read and vote on (see highlights below) to the latest 'TikTok Ban' saga, it seems we're constantly served up legislative dishes from a kitchen that’s known for food poisoning and health violations.
It’s no surprise to those paying attention. Congress has morphed into a clubhouse of corruption and inefficiency.
Enter the "Fruit of the Poisonous Tree" analogy. If the tree's rotten (Congress, in our case), then the fruit (any bill it passes) is likely just as bad.
When the legislative process is more about backscratching than public serving, it's hard to bite into any new bill without wondering what's really baked inside.
The issue at heart is a Congress entangled in special interests and partisan deadlocks, making every piece of legislation suspect. In this landscape, skepticism isn't just smart; it's essential. We need to sift through the political garnish and see what's really on our plate.
So, when Congress presents its next legislative concoction, let's be clear: we should outright reject it. The bitter truth is, given their track record, they're simply incapable of serving up anything worthwhile. It's high time we recognize that expecting a palatable dish from this kitchen is a fool's errand. Until there's a complete overhaul, we should treat everything from Congress with the skepticism it deserves, and start thinking seriously about a wholesale change in the recipe—and perhaps even the chefs (man did I beat the analogy to death…).

Bloodbath!
The "Bloodbath Hoax" saga rolls on! Mainstream media tried to spin a tale about President Trump allegedly calling for a "Bloodbath" should he lose the November election. However, this narrative stumbled over a critical hurdle: it was entirely fabricated, a gross misrepresentation of Trump's remarks at an Ohio Rally last Sunday while he was discussing the damage that has occurred to the American auto industry and manufacturing jobs by offshoring our industrial base to Mexico and China.
But that didn't deter Morning Joe Scarborough and the rest of the TDS damaged media from trying to milk this baseless story as the week kicked off.
Below, you'll find the unedited clip from Trump's original speech, including the contentious "Bloodbath" comment, followed by the media's attempt to twist his words into their own narrative.
Guess we have to add ‘Bloodbath’ to the other MSM hoaxes we’ve been treated to so far.
Russian Terror Attack
This weekend, a devastating terror attack occurred at Crocus City Hall, a major concert venue on the outskirts of Moscow. The attack was carried out by gunmen in combat fatigues who opened fire and detonated explosives, leading to a tragic loss of life and numerous injuries.
Death Toll and Injuries: The attack resulted in at least 133 people killed and over 100 wounded. The death toll has varied across reports, with some sources reporting as many as 115 people killed and 145 wounded.
Attackers and Responsibility: The Islamic State's Afghan branch, known as the Islamic State in Khorasan Province (ISKP or ISIS-K), claimed responsibility for the attack. Russian authorities have detained 11 people in connection with the attack, including four individuals who directly participated.
Method of Attack: The attackers used automatic weapons and flammable liquid to set the concert hall ablaze. The fire caused significant damage to the building, including the collapse of the concert hall's roof. Some reports also mention the detonation of explosives.
The individual apprehended for the attack on a Russian shopping center disclosed that he was promised 500,000 Rubles to execute the assault. He stated that an unidentified contact on the Telegram messaging app transferred the funds, provided him with the location, supplied the firearms, and instructed him to carry out the killings.
The details surrounding this incident suggest potential involvement by external entities, raising suspicions towards Ukrainian operatives and the CIA.
Two thoughts come to mind.
Because they are responsible for a great amount of conflict, destruction and death on the planet (ahem, Nord Stream), it wouldn’t come as a shock if it’s determined that the CIA was behind the attacks. Not as the actual gunmen, just the architects and financiers of the plot.
The goal would be to engender a disproportionate response from Putin against Ukraine or some other state and the henpecked politicians in the US can then point to Putin as ‘Russian Man Very Bad’ and get their much desired additional Ukraine money for their proxy war (and line their own pockets in the process).
The second thought is that now that Russia has experienced it’s own mini-Oct 7th (what happened in Moscow is but a fraction what happened in Israel), we’ll see how measured they are in their response. If it was Ukraine or some other state actor, we’ll see how many calls for ‘cease-fire’ we’ll hear and heed from those who have been critical of Israel’s attempt to root out Hamas and Jihadist supporters in Gaza.
At some point, most of the world will wake up and realize that Islamic fundamentalism is one of the gravest threats facing civilized people on this planet.
It deserves to be met with no quarter.
Bobulinski and Hunter
This week, there were some fireworks in the normally tame (and corrupt) Congressional hearings as Tony Bobulinski appeared to provide testimony regarding the Biden family's business dealings, particularly those involving Hunter Biden. His appearance was part of a broader investigation into the financial activities and potential conflicts of interest of the Biden Crime Family.
Bobulinski, a former business associate of Hunter Biden, continued to make the case in no uncertain terms that Hunter collected bribes for the ‘Big Guy’ and shed light on the nature of these dealings and their implications, drawing from his firsthand experiences and interactions with Cadaver Joe and Hunter.
The testimony did not disappoint, and here are some of the money quotes from Tony:
"I wish you would spend your time focusing on the fact that the Chinese Communist Party infiltrated The White House of the United States of America through the Biden family.
I don’t say that lightly. It’s not a joke. I was willing to die for this country....Take the Biden name and the Biden family completely out of it. How did the Chinese Communist Party infiltrate the White House?
Let's start there, focus on those facts. What they did, how they did it, why they used money, why they used private enterprises instead of military...that is huge to our national security."
He didn’t stop there: "Why is Joe Biden blatantly lying to the American people? . . . If he were doing nothing wrong, why go through this insane exercise of obstructing and denying obvious facts? . . .
The reason is because the Biden family’s profiting of tens of millions of dollars from our strategic opponents and corrupt individuals and entities around the world—without delivering any goods or services and while putting in minimal effort and work—causes Americans to rightly question any policies from this administration that apparently benefit those same strategic opponents and corrupt individuals and entities."
Bobulinski also embarrassed AOC (not that hard when she demanded he name a single crime Joe Biden had committed and he named 3 of them.
Here’s Bobulinski shredding Jamie Raskin and Dan Goldman, accusing them of perpetuating lies across various media platforms. Like I wrote above on vigilantism, it’s time to take the gloves off and Bobulinski wastes no time squaring off.
Here’s a good post by that may explain a few things:
Most of what looks like political disagreement is simply Democrats not understanding how the real world works.
They don’t understand bank loans or the difference between cash and physical assets. We learned that this month.
They don’t understand that money makes both news and science mostly fake.
They don’t understand how DEI is a supply problem not a demand problem.
They don’t understand how free speech works, or the point of it all.
They think the experts are telling the truth.
They don’t understand the degree to which their opinions are the result of intentional brainwashing.
They don’t understand that teachers unions have destroyed education and that school choice is the only viable solution.
They don’t understand the necessity of nuclear power.
They think the temperature of the planet can be accurately measured.
They think unlimited empathy for immigrants can work out well.
They think there are too many humans in the world, not too few.
They think the national debt is not a big issue.
They think releasing criminals from jail improves the lives of some communities.
They think removing guns from citizens does not create a risk of government abuse.
They think crimes not proven in court didn’t happen.
They think their kids are looking at Trump as a potential role model.
They think there is no big risk from TikTok compared to American-controlled social media.
They don’t know why half of their own kids are suddenly LGBTQ, against all odds.
I could go on. But it’s obvious why life experience turns liberals into conservatives.
What I’m Reading and Watching…
More border madness, as the Texas National Guard was overrun in El Paso by a mob of illegals. The optics here won’t be forgotten come November.
3 Body Problem released on Netflix. The book was enjoyable, let’s see how bad Netflix can mess it up. Hopefully they make all the Chinese characters African-American…
