Traveling this week so the report will be literally and mercifully BRIEF (I know I’ve cried wolf here before, but trust me). Unregretfully, I think she’s had enough of me typing in the room and is ready to hit that beach…
When I speculate that the world may "end" in the coming years, it doesn't imply the terrestrial globe will physically dissolve into the abyss (although, given our current leadership's corruption and ineptitude, it definitely makes such a possibility more likely than if we had sane, adept leaders).
Instead, what I'm suggesting is that as a species, we're beginning to navigate through an increasingly narrow corridor of possible outcomes. It's a tight gap that's constricting. If we had the nation's most exceptional, bright, and upright leaders at the helm, our chances of successfully reaching the other side would significantly improve. People like Vivek, Tony Robbins, Jocko Willink, Peter Diamandis, and many others possess the intellectual capacity and moral compass required to steer us through this tumultuous decade.
We face a host of potential threats: AI, nuclear war, extraterrestrial encounters, genuine pandemics originating from ancient permafrost bugs, and artificial ones cooked up by those with depopulation agendas. It's a lengthy and formidable list.
Given the current circumstances, our scope for favorable outcomes is narrowing, and the situation is certainly not improved by our elected leaders' flagrant ineptitude and corruption, nor by a society that has been infected with the "Woke" virus of communism, which disparages accomplishment and celebrates misguided equity (because after all, we are all equal at the bottom of the sea).
The personal and public quandary I've wrestled with is, how do you sustain faith and a positive attitude while acknowledging and preparing for the challenges ahead?
Given I'm on holiday, I'll keep this brief. We've weathered storms before. And this, too, shall pass.
In the grand scheme of things, light prevails over darkness. Good overcomes evil.
While we may not win every skirmish or war, you can rest assured that in the end, things will align in our favor.
One of my favorite anecdotes is from the financial crisis, a time when it genuinely felt like the world was imploding, especially for those of us on Wall Street…
During the 2008 financial crisis's peak, Goldman Sachs' CEO was attending meetings at the New York Fed, striving to safeguard the US financial system.
Everyone on Wall Street who understood the severity of the situation was feeling the pressure, but Blankfein managed to provide much-needed perspective to an associate who was on the verge of cracking under the strain.
At 11AM, for the fourth consecutive day, investment bankers filed into the New York Fed. "I don't think I can take another day of this, a Goldman banker told Lloyd Blankfein as they got out of the Goldman car.
"You're getting out of a Mercedes to go to the New York Federal Reserve," Blankfein responded. "You're not getting out of a Higgins boat on Omaha Beach."
Perspective and gratitude are the twin pillars of resilience in any crisis, a sentiment Blankfein encapsulated with finesse.
In the grand scheme of things, markets and humans are adaptable entities, inherently intelligent and self-correcting. Even when we stumble and take wrong turns, we eventually find our way back on track. The rectification process can be unattractively disruptive, both from a human and economic standpoint, but we eventually converge on the optimal solution(s) barring any catastrophic extinction-level event.
So yes, the upcoming years might be filled with tumult, but that does not portend the absolute finale. Rather, it signals the conclusion of one lifestyle, or of certain systems, empires, or institutions, but it likely isn't the "end-all" scenario. Picture it more along the lines of Jim Morrison and The Doors' "The End". It did signify a conclusion, but that was 56 years ago... and we're still standing.
Enough airy pontificating. Let’s check in to see what’s happening on the ground in the information/narrative battlefield.
So, here’s the lightning round from just the past 72 hours or so:
Obama’s chef drowned in 3 feet of water right outside his backyard. Obama first said he was not at home, and then changed their story to say they were. There’s a second paddleboarder that hasn’t been identified and some reports of blunt trauma to the head.
I’m CERTAINLY not saying he knew or saw something he shouldn’t have seen, but is it fair to speculate how a proficient swimmer could drown in 3 feet of water?
Apparently, if you’re a White House Chef you are a million times more likely to drown than the average person. After all, Hillary’s chef also drowned several years ago which was quite a surprise, since nothing bad ever happens to people that hang around Hillary (except those 56 or so unlucky souls).
Bronnie Suffers for the Sins of the Father
Healthy, 19 year old star athlete Lebron James Jr. suffered a heart attack during practice and was fortunately saved by the attentive medical staff at USC.
I’m still not sure what’s more mind boggling - that people are taking these everyday events as ‘normal’, or that we haven’t had a full scale revolt against the architects and public health establishment which jammed this experimental bioweapon down our throats.
3 years on. Still no accountability or justice. Hundreds of thousands still dying or being gravely injured from an experimental bioweapon. Many of you sat silent while they burned the world down. Tragic.
Here’s a quick 4 minute video that perfectly encapsulates what happened.
This came on the heels of Jamie Foxx’s celebrated return to public life after likely being vaccine injured as well.
Like Damar Hamlin and others before them, Foxx and Lebron now have the opportunity to find their conscience and courage and speak the truth, potentially saving tens of thousands of others. Anything less is cowardice.
Every day, more and more healthy people are dropping dead or suffering heart attacks or strokes and the media and public health sector keeps gaslighting saying, “It’s always been that way.”
Except it hasn’t.
Even the very first heavily censored and redacted public trials from Pfizer showed that more people died from the vax than the placebo arm. The CDC has also admitted the likelihood of myocarditis and numerous other afflictions increases measurably post- vax. It’s a game of Russian Roulette with your health, and the more shots or spins you take, the greater chance of permanent damage or death.
All this for an experimental therapy that provides no protection from covid infection, hospitalization or death (actually negative efficacy at this point as we’ve discussed). As I told you in 2020, it’s one of the worst risk/reward bets you could ever make.
At least most of the population has learned that by now, as Covid uptake and boosters has virtually dropped to zero. For all you true believers, go ahead and post your vax card here. It’s been at least 6 months if not a year so if you still believe the vax works or ever worked, why aren’t you lining up for your booster? Proof is in the pudding.
The issue is the true believers and those betrayed by the public health system are faced with an awful choice - admit you were played, and possibly endangered the lives of your family and loved ones or come over to Team Reality and hold the architects responsible. In the end, it all comes out. You’re better off getting ahead of it and admitting your mistake. There’s also anti-vaxx protocols that can help remove the toxic spike protein and other adjuvantants that poison the body (google nattokinase).
For those genuinely interested, I’m happy to provide some of the protocols that show good progress clearing the spike. Email or drop a note. This is not medical advice, so check with your doctor. But if your doctor was one of the ones that recommended you or your children get the shot, do yourself a favor and find a new doctor.
And for those still denying the elephant in the room, keep telling the world that the rise in all cause mortality among healthy young people, the explosion of turbo cancers and other maladies is caused by anything but the vaccine.
30% excess death rate of 0-24-year-old males in England in May 2023. I know no one wants to "go there", but this is happening.
Hunter Plea Fiasco
Three ex-military 'whistleblowers' took to the stage of the House Oversight Committee, asserting that the US has not only retrieved Unidentified Flying Objects/Unidentified Aerial Phenomena, but is also in possession of 'non-human biologics' (a somewhat vague term, but for this context, we'll take it to mean alien life forms and not monkeys in space suits).
Coincidentally or not, this intriguing UFO hearing (a handy deflection) was scheduled on the same day that Hunter Biden and his legal team were in court attempting to negotiate what might be one of the most lenient plea deals in legal history, courtesy of the compromised DOJ and FBI.
Not only were serious charges of illegal gun possession and tax evasion felonies seemingly dismissed like a petty jaywalking offense, but the DOJ also endeavored to sneak in an extraordinarily sweeping immunity clause in the plea agreement, shielding Hunter from potential consequences for any past, present, and even undiscovered future crimes.
The presiding judge, questioning the unprecedented nature of this plea deal, asked, “Has anything like this ever been granted to a defendant in history?”
The response? A deafening silence. But, considering the concerted efforts by the intelligence community and media to safeguard the Bidens and the current administration, it's hardly surprising.
Fortunately, the Judge nixed the deal for now but I expect them all to be back in court in two weeks and agree to a slightly less generous deal that still let’s Hunter off the hook for many of his crimes.
All this and we haven’t even hit midweek yet!
Buckle up buttercup.
Tucker and Ice Cube.
Tucker Carlson and Ice Cube took a spin through LA and chatted vax and other topics.
The pinnacle moment for me was Tucker's indignant "Of course not!" retort to Ice Cube's query about whether he had been vaccinated or not. This retort mirrors the incredulous responses I and many of my associates have reflexively offered to the same question since the early days of 2021. The concept of vaccination seems so farfetched that I'm still confounded by how anyone who isn't either obese or past their seventieth birthday could reach an alternative conclusion. Despite the initial feeling of being in a minority, a silver lining is visible as more and more people are crossing over to our perspective, recognizing the Covid saga as a grandiose experiment in obedience, a means to fatten the wallets of the chosen few like Big Pharma and Big Business, and a population control mechanism.
Applause to Ice Cube for boldly defying the prevailing narrative and forfeiting tens of millions in the process, all in the name of refusing the jab. Contrarily, it's no surprise that Lebron opted for the diametrically opposite path, a decision that put his son's life in jeopardy. It's expected behavior from someone who has consistently genuflected to the powers that be throughout his career, from pandering to China to stirring the pot of racial discord at every available opportunity.
I still treasure the video where Lebron talks about, “Based on his reading…” the jab was the right thing for he and his family. This from a guy who hasn’t publicly made it past the first page of any book he claims to have read.
Biden
More fun this week in the Biden Family made for TV movie, “How Corrupt Am I?”
In a pleasant turn of events, Hunter Biden's erstwhile BFF and business ally is preparing to pay a visit to Capitol Hill. He reportedly plans to reveal that President Joe Biden was more than a clueless bystander in the foreign business escapades of his offspring.
The New York Post reports that Devon Archer, formerly of the 'Best Friends Forever' club with Hunter Biden, will put himself in the hot seat before Congress this week. He's set to deliver the scoop on Biden Sr.’s alleged role in facilitating business for the Ukrainian energy titan, Burisma, during his VP days.
According to the Post, Archer's script will paint a picture of a President who wasn't merely aware of his son’s business wheelings and dealings but was an active participant in over two dozen telephonic powwows with Hunter’s foreign partners and investors.
That’s quite a plot twist from RICO Joe’s fairy tale, in which he has remained blissfully unaware of his son's business ventures. Biden Sr. even pledged in 2020 that he had "never discussed with my son, or my brother, or anyone else, anything having to do with their business, period."
Kentucky Rep. James Comer, chair of the House Oversight Committee, argues that Archer's impending testimony will expose that “Joe Biden performed a little improv when he claimed to be in the dark about his son’s business dealings.”
To set the stage, some of these alleged calls took place when Burisma, Hunter's employer, was under the microscope of a corruption investigation by the Ukrainian government.
In a riveting email exchange from November 2015, a Burisma executive asked Hunter to leverage his clout to “close down” the corruption investigation. The plot thickens as Archer claims that Hunter orchestrated a call between that executive, the company’s owner, and then-Vice President Biden, citing their need for support.
This call reportedly occurred just 72 hours before Biden was scheduled to give a sermon on the evils of cronyism, corruption, and kleptocracy in Ukraine.
Adding fuel to the fire, Biden is infamous for flexing his muscle by threatening to withhold a cool billion dollars in U.S. aid to Ukraine unless they terminated the prosecutor investigating Burisma.
Republicans argue that this testimony could serve as further evidence of Biden manipulating his VP influence to bag lucrative deals for his son.
Fun fact? Once Biden Sr. relinquished his VP post in 2016, Hunter's Burisma paycheck was cut down to size from $83,000 a month to a more modest $41,500. This has led Republicans to speculate that Hunter's lucrative role was, in essence, contingent on his access to his influential father. No sh*t Sherlock.
With this impending drama, it might be a good idea for House Republicans to forgo their "August recess" and instead grill Garland, Weiss, Smith, and other DOJ officials implicated in corruption and abuses of power.
E/acc
e/acc stands for "effective accelerationism". It is a philosophy that draws from Nick Land's theories of accelerationism to advocate for the belief that artificial intelligence and large language models (LLMs) will lead to a post-scarcity technological utopia.
The basic idea of e/acc is that the powers of innovation and capitalism should be exploited to their extremes to drive radical social change. This could involve things like accelerating the development of AI, investing in LLMs, and promoting technological disruption.
e/acc is a controversial philosophy, and there are many who believe that it is a dangerous and utopian ideology. However, it has also attracted a number of followers, including some prominent tech leaders.
Here are some of the key tenets of e/acc:
The current state of the world is unsustainable and will eventually lead to collapse.
Artificial intelligence and LLMs are the most powerful tools that we have to create a better future.
The best way to achieve a post-scarcity technological utopia is to accelerate the development of these technologies.
We should not be afraid of radical social change, as it is necessary to create a better future.
e/acc is a complex and nuanced philosophy, and there is no single way to interpret it. However, it is a philosophy that is rapidly gaining traction in Silicon Valley and other tech hubs who don’t believe AI can be effectively regulated and instead prefer to throw the barn doors wide open and see what happens.
In my introductory commentary, I highlighted that AI's trajectory presents some grave concerns, with the future of humanity precariously hanging in the balance. In that respect, the e/acc framework could be as valid a path as any other theoretical constructs. Free markets and complex systems tend to thrive when information flows unrestricted, and a system that incentivizes truth generally fosters progressive outcomes.
Challenges emerge when crony capitalism and kleptocratic corruption intervene to censor, obstruct, immunize malevolent actors, and create other distortions in the free flow of information and market dynamics. These are the circumstances that generally precipitate trouble.
It is a safe bet to posit that China will pull out all stops to achieve Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) supremacy ahead of the rest of the world. Let's not mince words - they pose a formidable threat, outpacing us in many aspects, albeit their vast population and natural resource deficit could prove to be a setback.
The scenario is not unlike the race to develop the atomic bomb under the Manhattan Project. The entity that reaches the finish line first essentially wins the war.
Now, envision an intelligence entity that is fifty times more astute and adaptable, operating at lightning speed. A fully functional AGI could seize control of a nation's security apparatus and effortlessly hack systems, execute military strategies, devastate infrastructures, manipulate weather patterns, and more. The resulting scenario could be tantamount to game over.
Here’s a bit more reading on the subject if interested.
What I’m Reading and Watching….
Station Eleven. If you like apocalyptic ‘fiction’, you’ll enjoy Station Eleven. Silo also is worth a watch.
Chaos: Charles Manson, the CIA, and the Secret History of the Sixties. An article for Premiere Magazine that morphed into a full book, this expose of the real Manson story is quite interesting and indicts everyone from the CIA & MK Ultra to the original prosecutor Vincent Bugliosi for hiding evidence and constructing a narrative that wasn’t entirely true.
On Resistance to Evil By Force. This one just came in the mail and I’m only a dozen pages into it so can’t give a full recommendation yet but it intrigues me. I’m sure it’ll come as no surprise to anyone who knows me, but I believe we are in a spiritual war now between good and evil (and likely since the beginning of time, but it’s more apparent and pronounced now than at any time in my life.).
The author is a Russian Christian who wrote the book to counter Tolstoy's argument that violence of any kind goes against the mandate to love our neighbor and to turn the other cheek. The author argues that Christians are compelled to resist evil by any means available to include violence because evil must be eradicated wherever it presents itself.
As he explains, in the face of evil which can be contained by no other means, a forceful response is not only permissible, but becomes a knightly duty. Further, heroic courage consists not only in recognising this duty, but in bearing its heavy moral burden without fear. In his own time, Ilyin penned this guide for the exiled Russian White Army in its continued resistance against the Bolsheviks.
