Epstein List Drama – A Steele Dossier Sequel in the Making
“The truth is like a lion; you don’t have to defend it. Let it loose; it will defend itself.”
-Augustine of Hippo
Last Week’s Take: A Measured Approach to the Epstein Files
Last week, I dove into the swirling maelstrom of the Jeffrey Epstein files, urging a bit of restraint amidst the clamor for their immediate release. I argued that while transparency is a noble and warranted pursuit, dumping a trove of unvetted documents—potentially laced with half-truths, innuendo, or outright fabrications—could ignite a wildfire of misinformation, torching reputations and muddying the waters of justice.
I suggested that the so-called “Epstein List” was a fixation that, while tantalizing, ranked below the urgent priorities of the MAGA agenda: securing the border, reforming immigration, and dismantling the bureaucratic leviathan strangling American prosperity.
My point? Let’s not get distracted by a shiny object when the house is still on fire.
But oh, how the plot has thickened in just seven days. What began as a grim reminder of the Epstein scandal has exploded into a full-blown political thriller of accusations, denials, and counter-moves that could rival a Tom Clancy novel. It’s also strongly signaling echoes of the Steele Dossier’s infamy growing louder by the hour.
The knee-jerk MAGA base looking for engagement bait and Democrats sensing blood in the water have both kept this political Pandora’s Box surging at the top of X and dominating political commentary across the spectrum.
At the heart of it: a supposed “client list” that MAGA diehards have long believed would expose a cabal of elite pedophiles shielded by a shadowy deep state. Yet, when the Justice Department dropped a memo last week declaring no such list exists and reaffirming Epstein’s 2019 death as a suicide, the MAGA base erupted. The frustration is palpable—years of promises from Trump’s camp, including Attorney General Pam Bondi’s February tease that she had the list “on her desk,” fizzled into a nothingburger.
Instead of clarity, we got a Wall Street Journal ‘bombshell’ alleging a “bawdy” 2003 birthday letter from Trump to Epstein, complete with a sketch of a naked woman.
After Covington, the ‘Very Fine People’ Charlottesville Hoax, Russia Collusion and a dozen other ‘fake news’ ops, you’d think the Mockingbird Media would pause before publishing a story that seems absurd on its face.
First of all, Trump is a very plain spoken person that likely hasn’t read a book in the last 50 years. He’s notorious for brief, hand written notes and never in history has written a dialogue like screen play using words like ‘enigma’.
As James Fishback insightfully noted:
Any application of common sense reveals this as a transparent hoax—much like the Epstein files themselves, it's ripe for manipulation or outright fabrication. In truth, the tweet below would’ve been more convincing…
Trump’s response? A fiery denial, a $10 billion defamation suit against the Journal, and a bold countermove: ordering Bondi to seek the release of Epstein’s grand jury testimony, which he believes is less likely to have been tampered with. Sound familiar? It should. This feels like the Steele Dossier Part 2—a murky, unverified narrative weaponized to smear Trump and his allies.
On Twitter, the platform has been ablaze with reactions to both the WSJ story and the broader ‘cover up’ itself capturing the raw sentiment of a public fed up with half-truths.
These posts from both Democrats, NeverTrumpers and MAGA itself reflect a broader distrust, but they miss a critical point: if the Biden administration, which controlled the DOJ for four years, had a shred of incriminating evidence against Trump, wouldn’t they have unleashed it during the relentless lawfare of impeachments, indictments, attempted assassinations and ballot-blocking attempts?
Democrats and the Deep State have been ‘all-in’ on removing Trump from the chessboard for the last 9 years - do you really think they would have skipped the lowest of the low-hanging fruit if Trump was front and center on the most radioactive pedo list in history?
A Steele Dossier Sequel? The Case for Skepticism
Let’s connect the dots and examine why this smells like Steele Dossier Part Deux.
The Steele Dossier, a 2016 concoction of unverified “raw intelligence” compiled by Democratic hatchetman Christopher Steele, alleged ties between Trump’s campaign and Russia. It was a political hit job, funded by Hillary Clinton’s campaign, that fueled the Russian Collusion Hoax—a narrative that consumed years and yielded nothing but headlines.
Fast forward to 2025, and the Epstein List drama feels like a reboot. Trump’s critics, including key Democrats and Never Trumper Republicans like Nikki Haley, are suddenly clamoring for the files’ release, despite many documents—mentioning Trump, Bill Clinton, and others—already being public for years.
Why the renewed urgency? Could it be that the files, now under scrutiny, have been massaged into a new trap? Trump himself hinted at this on Real America’s Voice, alleging without evidence that Biden-era officials might have doctored the files, just as they did with the Steele Dossier and ensuing intelligence assessments (see Gabbard story below).
The timing is suspicious: after years of silence, a “bawdy letter” emerges, conveniently tied to Trump, right as his base demands transparency. As White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt pointed out, the Journal admitted they don’t even have the letter in their possession. That smells an awful lot like a setup.
The Grand Jury Gambit: Trump’s Checkmate?
Trump’s counter-joust—demanding the release of Epstein’s grand jury testimony—is a masterstroke. Unlike FBI files, which can be edited or “lost,” grand jury transcripts are sealed by law, making them harder to manipulate. His move puts pressure on a federal judge in New York to weigh public interest against secrecy, a process that could take time but signals Trump’s willingness to fight fire with fire.
This has rattled cages. Democrats like Jamie Raskin and Dan Goldman, who’ve accused Bondi of withholding files to protect Trump, are now on the defensive.
But here’s the rub: grand jury testimony may only cover Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, not the broader “client list” conspiracy theorists crave. Still, it’s a bold play to shift the narrative and expose any tampering.
I’d caution against getting too hopeful here. As the past six months have made clear, many federal district judges operate more like political actors than neutral arbiters—and a New York-based judge is unlikely to bend over backwards to aid Trump. That said, this move does shift the narrative and puts the hypocrisy on full display. If you truly want transparency, then let the evidence surface across the board. Cherry-picking documents to fit a partisan script isn’t transparency; it’s propaganda.
The Bottom Line: A Honeypot Scrubbed Clean?
As I reiterated last week, I’m all for justice. If Epstein’s network ensnared half the S&P 500, politicians, and global elites, let’s see the receipts (carefully and after fully-vetting the authenticity as this is a potential societal bonfire). But let’s be real: a honeypot of that magnitude doesn’t just sit in a DOJ drawer, gathering dust like a forgotten case file in some lifer’s office.
If it existed, it’s been scrubbed, sanitized, or repurposed into a political weapon. The sudden push by Democrats and Never Trumpers to release the files—after years of silence—reeks of an info op. They had four years to drop this bombshell during Trump’s legal gauntlet, yet they didn’t.
Now, a dubious letter surfaces, and the outrage machine revs up? Forgive my skepticism, but this feels like the Steele Dossier’s sequel—a scripted hit to tarnish Trump and his administration. The MAGA base is right to be frustrated, but they should be equally wary of swallowing a tainted narrative whole.
As I said last week, let’s keep our eyes on the prize: immigration reform, economic revival, and draining the swamp. The Epstein List? It’s a distraction that could end the positive momentum until proven otherwise.
Gabbard Unveils a Treasonous Abyss
What’s now come to light isn’t just significant—it reshapes how we understand the last decade and demands a thoughtful, unflinching response. Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has delivered a striking disclosure, one that exposes the deep and deliberate corruption within our most trusted institutions—a conspiracy so serious, it challenges the very foundations of our constitutional republic.
In the wake of Donald Trump’s shocking 2016 victory over Hillary Clinton, something sinister was already underway behind the scenes in Washington. According to newly declassified documents released by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, we now have irrefutable evidence that top Obama-era intelligence officials executed a coordinated plan to sabotage the incoming president by weaponizing the intelligence community and fabricating a narrative of Russian interference.
This was no passive resistance. It was a soft coup.
The key players—James Comey (FBI), John Brennan (CIA), James Clapper (DNI), and Susan Rice—worked hand-in-glove with political operatives in Obama’s inner circle to suppress and rewrite real intelligence assessments. In early December 2016, the U.S. intelligence community had concluded definitively that Russian criminal activity “failed to reach the scale and sophistication necessary to change election outcomes.”
This assessment was meant to be delivered to President Obama in a classified daily briefing, but it was blocked. Why? Because it didn’t fit the narrative Obama and his team wanted.
Instead, on December 9—over a month after the election—President Obama convened a National Security Council meeting and instructed his intelligence chiefs not to determine if Russia interfered, but how. The conclusion was preordained; the data merely needed to be manufactured to support it. That instruction became a directive to turn discredited sources like the now-infamous Steele Dossier into the core of an official intelligence product.
Despite being warned that the dossier was Russian disinformation funded by the Clinton campaign, Comey and others still used it to justify four FISA warrants, including the surveillance of Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.
This deliberate falsification of intelligence did more than smear a political opponent—it ignited a three-year firestorm: the $40 million Mueller investigation, two impeachments, daily media hysteria, and the erosion of public trust in our government. Worse, it strained U.S.–Russia relations and placed our democracy on a collision course with itself—all built on a gross lie.
Gabbard emphasized that this was not a partisan issue, but a fundamental attack on the sovereignty of the American people. “This was a years-long coup,” she said bluntly, “to subvert the will of the voters and destroy a duly elected president.” Her team is now referring all relevant documents to the Department of Justice for investigation and, crucially, for prosecution.
This wasn’t just an abuse of power—it was a conspiracy by unelected bureaucrats to reverse the outcome of an election they didn’t like. And it was enabled by a media class that willingly served as the deep state’s megaphone.
The implications are stark: If intelligence can be twisted into a weapon to kneecap a president, then the entire premise of self-governance is in peril. Until those responsible face real accountability—not just headlines—this silent coup remains a standing threat to every future election.
This was never just about Trump.
It was about all of us—about the country we live in, the system we trust, and the future we’re trying to preserve.
As Tulsi herself proclaimed with the clarity of a clarion call:
Her words, loosed like a stone from David’s sling, need no adornment from my pen. They fly with purpose straight at the forehead of the Deep State Goliath. A testament to courage, they stand alone as a beacon in the storm of deceit that surrounds us.
Reproduced in full below for your viewing pleasure/disgust, they are the heartbeat of a moment history will remember as pivotal.
For years, I have contended, along with other Twitter anons as scattered voices in the wilderness, that the so-called “Trump/Russia Collusion” hoax ranks as the greatest political scandal in the annals of our nation.
Compared to this, Watergate fades into a mere childish skirmish—a water balloon fight among toddlers splashing in a backyard wading pool. This was no petty break-in; this was a sitting President, cloaked in the authority of his office, orchestrating a conspiracy of lies, malfeasance, and fabricated documents to overturn the lawful election of his successor. The vast, unelected leviathan of the administrative state—our modern-day Hydra—lent its tendrils to aid, abet, and enable this monstrous assault on the Constitution.
Consider the human toll, the grotesque violation of personal liberties and rights by those sworn to uphold them. Innocents were ensnared, their lives upended, their reputations shredded, all in service to a narrative as hollow as it was pernicious. And the media knowing full well they peddled falsehoods, amplified and, in some instances, birthed those lies, all for the intoxicating lure of power.
This was no mere political maneuver; it was an attempted revolution from within, a failed coup d’état, a direct dagger thrust at the heart of our Constitution, masked in the perfidious shroud of its supposed protection.
Treason, dear friends, is not too strong a word. It was a crime piled upon crime, a deliberate rejection of the people’s choice by those who deemed themselves our masters. This was not merely an attack on Donald Trump, nor solely an assault on the sacred parchment of our founding document. No, this was an attack on you and me—on the very essence of our sovereignty as citizens. Life in prison, I daresay, scarcely suffices as retribution for such a foul transgression against the core American ideal.
Yet even now, a sliver of light dares to pierce the darkness. Director Gabbard’s declassification of proof—proof of treason by President Obama—marks the single most important moment of transparency in the history of our government.
Never before have I witnessed the Intelligence Community lay bare its own crimes against the people it serves. The evidence, astonishing in its breadth, reveals:
- U.S. intelligence admitted that Russia did not hack the 2016 election.
- Obama himself pushed the Russia hoax to sabotage Trump.
- The Steele dossier, a tissue of fabrications, was wielded as a weapon by James Comey.
- John Brennan and James Clapper entrenched this hoax deep within the Intelligence Community, silencing whistleblowers with ruthless efficiency.
- The corporate media became a laundering machine for fake government propaganda, relentless in its dissemination.
- The Russia probe was nothing less than an insurrectionist plot to unseat a duly elected president.
They knew—knew—that Russia posed no threat to our electoral integrity, yet they forged intelligence, suppressed truth, and unleashed a years-long campaign to overthrow Trump. This was no accident, no miscalculation—it was a deliberate, calculated act of treason aimed at dismantling the will of the people.
The receipts are now in our hands: names, memos, orders. The infographic embedded above traces the genesis of this Russia Hoax— from the real intel assessment on December 8, 2016, acknowledging no impact from Russian cyber activities, to the secret meeting on December 9 where Obama officials conspired to birth this lie, to the deep state leaks that flooded our airwaves with fabricated news. A fake, weaponized assessment suppressed prior intelligence showing Russia lacked both intent and capability to “hack” the 2016 election. This was the foundation of a hoax that sought to rewrite our destiny.
Tulsi Gabbard didn’t just drop documents last week—she dropped a reckoning.
And so we can hope this the beginning of the end of this twilight, Bizarro era—ten years of institutional rot, civil distrust, media gaslighting, and weaponized partisanship. Not ten weeks. Ten years. Long enough to fracture families, dissolve friendships, and bury truth beneath a fog of sanctioned lies: the Hunter laptop, the origins of COVID, the efficacy of lockdowns, the president’s senility. Lies from people who scream “SAVE DEMOCRACY!” while they strangle it in the crib.
And now? Most of the Left either shrugs or cheers. Some are unaware, because their gatekeepers—The New York Times, MSNBC, CNN, Colbert—won’t touch the story. Others justify it: “Trump is Hitler,” they whisper, as if that absolves every constitutional betrayal. And the rest—perhaps the most lobotomized—simply don’t care. They’ve traded their soul for brunch in Brooklyn and summers in the Hamptons. Nothing must interrupt the illusion.
But for those paying attention, this isn’t partisan politics. This is spiritual subversion. We have all been violated—not just by the lie, but by what the lie did to us. It poisoned our conversations, hijacked our institutions, and mutilated our sense of reality. All to stop one man. And now we must ask: if you become the devil to fight the devil, what have you become?
This wasn’t just an attack on Trump. It was an attack on truth, on unity, on us. And it’s time we stop pretending otherwise.
This was not politics as usual. This was treason, pure and unadulterated, and it must never be allowed to recur. The names are known. The evidence is irrefutable. Now, it falls to us—to justice—to hold them accountable. Thank you, Director Gabbard, for this courageous unveiling. The wheels of justice turn slowly, but they will turn. And in their turning, we shall reclaim the integrity of our democratic republic.

Great work.
Amazing. What is your level of optimism that we will see actual charges being brought against the IC top brass?
