Trump’s Congressional Triumph: A Night of Glory, Grit, and Democratic Gloom
While it wasn’t a State of the Union address, it de facto functioned as one.
President Trump sat before a joint session of Congress and masterfully laid out the difference between his Administration’s accomplishments in less than 2 months and then 4 years of madness that preceded it.
Even more important, the American people saw for themselves the continuing self-immolation of the Democratic Party which seems to be doubling down on the idea of never winning another election again.
Tuesday night Donald Trump strode into the joint session of Congress, he didn’t just deliver a speech—he dropped a gauntlet. It was a red-meat, America First barnburner that had MAGA nation roaring and the Democrats squirming in their seats like kids caught skipping class. The scene was electric: Trump, standing tall, painting a vision of a nation renewed, while the sour-faced Dems sat there, arms crossed, refusing to clap for anything that didn’t fit their woke playbook.
This wasn’t just a speech—it was a line in the sand, a stark illustration of two Americas: Trump’s, built on grit, border security, and common sense, and the Democrats’, a crumbling mess of open borders, DEI, bloated government, and anti-women policies. Let’s break it down.
A Resounding Victory: The People Loved It
First off, the numbers don’t lie. A CBS poll clocked Trump’s speech at a jaw-dropping 76% approval among viewers, with just 23% disapproving—a +53% margin that’d make any politician drool.
I can’t make this point loud enough - these are devastating numbers for the Democrats. No President in history has put up numbers like this - ever. What’s even more striking is that his popularity is actually increasing as his term progresses. Right now, it's at an all-time high, while the Democrats are sinking to their lowest point in history. The contrast couldn’t be more stark.
During and after the speech, the X-sphere lit up with influencers and grass roots Americans singing his praises. One user called it “a celebration of America’s renewal,” while another said it made them want to “run through a wall.” Even the liberal media, usually frothing at the mouth to dunk on Trump, couldn’t muster much of a fight.
Commentators noted a lack of significant backlash from liberal media.” That’s right—their silence was deafening. Trump didn’t just win the night; he owned it.
The Democrats’ Disgrace: Petulance on Full Display
But if Trump was the hero, the Democrats were the villains—and boy, did they play the part.
Before Trump could even begin, this cartoon caricature stood up and started waving his cane and howling gibberish. First impressions matter, and if you were tuned in on Tuesday night, this is the first impression Americans got of the Democratic party.
I can’t even blame the kid to the left for laughing at him, most of America was doing so in unison.
This clown getting carted off by security was just the opening act. Democrats continued to boo, hiss, walk out and hold up their ridiculous paddles and signs throughout the entire speech in a stunning display of petulance and lack of decorum.
Remember the media’s unrelenting, wall-to-wall outrage when Joe Wilson yelled, “You lie!” at Obama during a televised address to Congress? (Of course, he was right—Obama was lying about whether illegal immigrants would get healthcare in America.) Or when Marjorie Taylor Greene yelled, “You lie!” as Joe Biden spun one of his countless fabrications, like claiming Republicans were planning to sunset Social Security and Medicare. The media exploded with firestorms of condemnation and outrage.
But this time, when it was 100 times worse, and the lies kept coming all night long, the media’s response? A collective shrug and a yawn. No outrage, just silence and chagrin.
As embarrassing and juvenile as all of the above was, that wasn’t the worst of it.
As Trump honored a 13-year-old boy battling brain cancer, the Dems sat there, stone-cold, not a clap to be heard.
When he brought up the family of Laken Riley, a 22-year-old murdered by an illegal immigrant, they stayed glued to their seats, scowling like they’d just tasted bad kale.
Same deal for Jocelyn Nungaray’s mother, another victim of border chaos, and the mom who fought to free her son from Russia. Zero applause. Nada.
If you checked the scoreboard when all was said and done, Trump hurled a complete game shutout. Democrats reaction to Joint Address by topic:
0 applause for 13 yo cancer survivor,
0 applause for family of Laken Riley,
0 applause for mother of Jocelyn Nungaray,
0 applause for teen accepted to Westpoint,
0 applause for protecting women’s sports,
0 applause for Corey Comperatore.
It was a masterclass in pettiness.
Contrast that with their past antics. These are the same folks who took a knee during the national anthem, protested in the streets, and offered eight minutes of silence for George Floyd—a career criminal—while defending looters and rioters as “peaceful.”
They’ll bend over backward for chaos merchants and illegal immigrants, but when it’s time to honor American moms grieving kids killed by border-jumping criminals? Crickets. It’s a gut-punch to anyone with a shred of decency.
Policy Clash: Trump’s Common Sense vs. Democratic Delusion
Then there’s the meat of it: the policies. Trump came out swinging with his America First vision, zeroing in on three biggies—stopping mass illegal immigration, slashing government waste, fraud, and abuse, and protecting women’s sports from transgender overreach.
On immigration, he didn’t mince words, blasting Biden’s open-border disaster that’s turned American cities and towns into crime-ridden shadows of themselves.
He then offered this mic drop moment with one of the most memorable lines from a Presidential speech in recent history:
"The media and our friends in the Democrat Party kept saying, 'We needed new legislation, we must have legislation to secure the border.' But it turned out - all we really needed was a new president."
Government waste? Team Trump led by Elon at DOGE is on it like a hound on a scent. He’s targeting the bureaucratic bloat that’s been bleeding taxpayers dry for decades.
And don’t get him started on transgender men in women’s sports. Trump drew a hard line: biological dudes aren’t crushing your daughter’s shot at a medal on his watch. The Democrats? They sat there, sulking, because they’re too busy pandering to the pronoun police to care about fairness.
Trump masterfully stacked the Democrats’ increasingly thin deck against them, repeatedly daring the surly progressives to embrace more politically indefensible positions and they kept taking the bait. Every time he threw out a winner—border security, fiscal sanity, women’s rights—they doubled down on losing.
The People Are With Trump—And the Polls Prove It
Here’s the kicker: Americans are eating it up. Polls show 70-80% support for Trump’s stances on immigration, government reform, and protecting women’s sports. His approval rating? Higher than ever. Meanwhile, the Democrats are tanking, scraping by at a measly 20% approval.
Why? Because people are fed up. They’re sick of watching their tax dollars fund illegal handouts and government fat cats. They’re tired of border chaos letting in criminals who prey on their kids. And they’re done with woke nonsense that screws over their daughters’ dreams. Trump’s not just winning the argument—he’s winning the country.
The Verdict: Trump’s Roaring Back, and the Dems Are Done
Trump’s address wasn’t just a speech—it was a seismic shift. It was a middle finger to the elites and a love letter to the forgotten American. Regular Americans and MAGA faithful saw a leader who gets it, while the conservative influencers on X turned it into a rallying cry.
The Democrats, meanwhile, looked like a party on life support—petulant, disruptive, and clinging to a playbook that’s bombing harder than a lead balloon. They’re lobbying for mass immigration, ballooning government, and policies that shaft women, all while Trump’s out there promising to fix it—and delivering.
Dems are rapidly transforming into an opposition party on the brink of self-immolation and potential extinction—a dangerous trajectory for anyone who values a healthy two-party system with vibrant dialogue and debate. A functioning democracy relies on diverse voices, and when one side veers so far from reason, the entire system suffers. Healthy debate ensures that the nation stays grounded in reality, challenging each side to improve. Without it, we risk losing our political equilibrium.
Earlier this week, in a move that looked more like a scripted performance than democratic leadership, 22 Democratic senators bizarrely recorded the exact same video—word for word—reading directly from a party-approved script. The eerie coordination was meant to project unity, but instead, it exposed the hollowness of their narrative.
Then there was this gem from the ‘rising star’ of the Democratic Party and 2028 Presidential candidate Jasmine Crockett.
And when the week couldn’t get worse, they tripled down. This time with another cringe-worthy video—this time in the form of a video game, a desperate attempt to court the Gen Z vote, which is rapidly shifting toward Trump and MAGA.
This is what happens when you bring half-understood focus group output into a market that’s currently prizing authenticity. "Hey, we hear that young male voters like video games, you should appeal to that!"
So, what do they do? They drop this cringe-worthy collage of weapons-grade self-clowning. It’s not just a failed attempt at relevancy, it’s a clear display of how out of touch they are with the very people they’re trying to reach. And it’s only making things worse.
If the Democratic response to Trump's momentum is to continue doubling down on policies that are not just unpopular, but outright disconnected from the average American's concerns—mass immigration, government waste, overseas adventurism, transgender men competing in women’s sports, and weaponizing race through DEI—then they are charting a perilous course. One that could very well lead to single-party rule for at least a decade, if not a generation.
What the country is starting to understand, and what I've been saying for years, is this: you've been sold a lie. The narrative that the nation is split down the middle 50/50 is a fabrication. In reality, it’s more like 60/20, with 10-20% undecided or issue-by-issue. Seventy percent align with Trump—maybe not his personality, but his positions. The common sense, normalcy, and traditional values that have been missing for far too long.
You were convinced—manipulated, really—that the 20% who make up the progressive left are the true majority. The media and the education system have successfully turned that minority into a vocal, domineering force, amplifying their insane voices and making it seem as if the country is divided evenly on issues like immigration, crime, and transgender athletes in women’s sports.
But here’s the reality: if you shut off the 24/7 propaganda, dismantle the Marxist indoctrination centers in schools, and address illegal immigration and fraudulent voting, what you'll find is that the conservative, Republican, and MAGA movement leads by a landslide. Tighten up voting security, prosecute illegal immigration, and put an end to the fraudulent money-laundering practices in non-profits and get-out-the-vote operations, and you'll see the real split—one where Democrats simply don’t win. Not for a long time. Not until they return to sanity and reality.
Thankfully for Republicans, that doesn’t seem likely to happen anytime soon.
In the end, the night belonged to Trump. He painted a picture of an America worth fighting for, and the people responded. The Democrats can keep screaming into the void, but the tide’s turning. The American people are with Trump. Democrats are just screaming into the void.
Damn right they are. Trump’s back, louder than ever, and the Dems are running out of rope. Game on.
The Price of Eggs
One of the Democrats' last remaining talking points is the price of eggs, but let’s get real here. The man who’s been in office for six weeks simply doesn’t have the power to quickly reverse prices and undo the damage done by the man who was in office for four years (or, as we all suspected and were called “conspiracy theorists” for pointing out, the puppet...).
In the final months of his presidency, Biden made a fateful decision to cull over 150 million healthy chickens in response to the so-called 'Avian Flu'. A move of that scale—massively eliminating healthy flocks, even in cases where only one or two birds were sick and the rest of the flock tested negative—creates nothing less than a supply shock. Whether by design or neglect, this is basic Economics 101: when you wipe out supply and demand stays constant, prices skyrocket. And that’s exactly what’s happening with egg prices.
So, while Biden’s team likes to shift the blame and pretend they’re victims of the inevitable, the reality is that egg prices will remain high until these flocks can be replaced and measures are put in place to correct the shortage. Maybe it’s time to start importing eggs from Mexico, considering Avian Flu seems to have skipped over that country entirely. But of course, no one wants to talk about that…
Syria - Tulsi was Right
The dust has settled in Damascus, but the echoes of Tulsi Gabbard’s warnings reverberate louder than ever. In December 2024, after nearly 14 years of civil war sparked by protests in 2011, Bashar al-Assad’s regime crumbled.
The Syrian dictator fled as Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), an Islamist faction with roots in Al Qaeda, overran his forces and seized the capital. Crowds cheered the end of a brutal 50-year dynasty, their naive voices rising like a fleeting hymn of liberation on the usual Mockingbird propaganda channels like CNN and the Washington Post.
Yet, as of March 08, 2025, that jubilation has been replaced by dread. Syria is no phoenix rising from the ashes—it is a fractured land sliding into chaos, validating Gabbard’s long-ignored cautions about the perils of U.S. intervention.
Gabbard, now Trump’s Director of National Intelligence, spent years decrying America’s regime-change obsession. She didn’t defend Assad; she warned that toppling him without a stable alternative would unleash hell. In 2017, she met the Syrian leader—a move branded as betrayal by her critics—seeking to grasp the stakes. Her foresight was dismissed as naive, even dangerous as she was accused of being a Russian asset (sound familiar?). Today, it shines as prophecy.
HTS, under the leadership of Muhammad al-Joulani—a former ruthless warlord now rebranded by the powers that be as a 'moderate leader' after donning a suit and uttering a few pleasant words—has filled the power vacuum. While he projects an image of moderation to the West, his fighters continue to revel in the dark nostalgia of 9/11.
This is no benign transition. Religious minorities—Christians, Alawites, Druze and others—once precariously sheltered under Assad, now face a grim reckoning. Persecution, terror, murder and outright genocide is surging: churches torched, families hunted, entire communities erased. The terror is not hypothetical; it’s unfolding now.
This isn’t an aberration—it’s a pattern. America’s Middle East misadventures, from Libya’s collapse into warlordism after Gaddafi to Iraq’s sectarian inferno post-Saddam, reveal a legacy of hubris. Each intervention, draped in noble intent, has birthed instability and bloodshed.
Gabbard saw it coming—not just in Syria, but across the region. She challenged the doctrine that toppling tyrants equates to progress, arguing it often empowers worse forces. HTS’s rise, with its blend of jihadist roots and pragmatic posturing, is the latest proof. The West cheered Assad’s fall, but what followed isn’t freedom—it’s a new tyranny, cloaked in different garb.
While the bloodshed displayed across X has been heartbreaking and terrifying, you probably haven’t seen an accounting if you’re relying on the nightly news or mainstream media.
Why the silence in the headlines? Simple, the carnage in Syria—Muslims slaughtering Christians, Alawite, Druze and fellow Muslims—doesn’t fit the media’s favored frame.
No Jews or Western powers wield the blade here, just HTS and its ilk. It’s an inconvenient truth: our policies have failed, and Gabbard, once a media pariah, was right. As Syria bleeds, her warnings stand as a haunting indictment of a nation too eager to play god, too blind to see the devils it unleashes.
Here’s a Newsweek article from January with a good background on the disaster that is Syria.
Here are some posts on X detailing the carnage if you have the stomach. There are plenty more out there.

What I’m Watching and Reading…
On the longer side, but good summation.
Here’s a pertinent Twitter thread by Mike Cernovich, who was one of the leaders in breaking the Epstein case wide open. . Unfortunately, I tend to think Mike is right. We will never see a real list from the Epstein files unless there is a whistleblower at the NSA level. Most of those files have been scrubbed. Same reason the Diddy files are taking so long to release. You don’t get to a position of power like that without being thorough in your clean up operations. Regardless, there are still plenty of targets in government for Kash and Pam Bondi to go after on other crimes.

Just an amazing analysis I look forward to every Sunday. Thanks, Mike!
It is my opinion that the Democrat party has been infiltrated by the GOP.
