Peter Thiel, Ghost Guns & the U.S. Chernobyl

Happy Sovereign Sunday free men and women! Here’s a quick political run down of the week capped off by the inestimable Peter Thiel dropping a 90 minute freestyle for his fans at the Nixon Foundation.

Well, it only took about a half a minute for the liberal mainstream media to quickly lose interest in the crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border (2 years of nonstop tantrums and screams of ‘crimes against humanity’ when Trump put kids in cages, but when the Biden Bumbaclots do it magnitudes bigger and dumber than Trump ever did…crickets).

There was also nary a peep when Biden admitted they were dead wrong about the border, and began rebuilding the parts of Trump’s border wall they tore down. After all, borders are essential to every state and culture, and walls work. You probably didn’t hear squat about it from the media who obsessed and wailed hysterically for 4 years about the evil of walls and borders, only to turn the other cheek when it was their guy doing the masonry.

Biden’s entire open borders fallacy was a cheap base ploy to get more votes from Hispanics and to hopefully overwhelm the system with mass unchecked illegal immigration. Unfortunately, it worked a little too well, and now even his allies are concerned by the ‘huddled masses’ spilling over the border which include plenty of Covid infectees and even a few Yemeni terrorists on the FBI watch list. Whether it’s terror, culture dilution or disease vectors, a porous border is, and always will be a national security threat.

Guns took center stage in Washington for Team Biden, and in Austin, for a smaller, braver crew. The President held a couple of rambling press conferences in which he got a bunch of things wrong and nominated a man to head the ATF who famously celebrated the murder of 75 men, women and children by standing on their charred remains and posing like a big game hunter.

The White House and Team Unity also vowed there were more unilateral executive actions incoming. On the bright side, a handful of Republican governors politely told Biden GFY, and that they won’t comply with federal mandates on guns. This should be the playbook, and when it comes to guns and other federal overreach, the response should be a simple four words, “Come and take it.” This is the way.

There’s an old military adage coined by bomber pilots, “When you’re taking heavy flak, you know your right over target.” Well this week, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis was targeted by a bush league 60 Minutes hit job, YouTube censorship of his videos, and a phony NYT feature (is there any other kind?). Which means only one thing – Dems are scared shitless of this guy and his Presidential potential. He’s smart and was one of the few Governors that refused to cow to the Covid lunacy – he kept his state open, businesses in business, and kids in school. The contrast between the success of FL and the clown cars in NY and CA (or DC) says tons.

The most ironic part of this all is that in last year’s gubernatorial election, DeSantis squeaked by barely beating his opponent Andrew Gillum by a hair 50-49%. Gillum - a gay, black meth addict, was found face down passed out in a pile of male escorts shortly after the election. It’s amazing what you can do when you control the press and the election machinery….even bums like Jerry Quarry have a shot against Ali.

One thing my circle has discussed extensively over the past few months was summed up succinctly by John Robb with the question – “Was the response to COVID, in aggregate, a Chernobyl scale delegitimizing event for the US?”

Chernobyl if you’ll recall (and please do watch the excellent recreation on HBO), famously exposed the Soviet Union, a fearless giant and military and economic powerhouse as a corrupt, incompetent house of cards. It was the initial blow that could only be seen in retrospect, but started the fall of the Soviet juggernaut.

Covid sadly, may be functioning in the same role for the U.S.

The pandemic has exposed much of the U.S. healthcare and political establishment as utterly incompetent, and it's population as an easily manipulated gaggle of NPCs willing to perform a series of mini hari-kari acts in an attempt to pacify their irrational fear.

And the incompetent lifer they’ve elevated as their God, is the esteemed Dr. Fauci. Other than government (or teachers unions), is there a single vocation where you can be that wrong for that long and still have a job?

Finance for all its flaws, has built in modulating mechanisms (when the government doesn’t choose to bail out the bad actors). If you're that wrong for that long, you get wrecked. Investors flee, creditors force bankruptcy, businesses shutter. Government needs the same.

In the first 2 months of this newsletter, we examined several approaches for dealing with the madness that is our current government and society. While the ‘move to a defensible locale, align, defend and build’ seems to be the most logical and viable solution (with multiple exit and contingency plans), I’ll admit there are times when I think it’s equally viable to go full tunnel vision and just ignore the entirety of the political insanity and Covid hysteria.

This approach can be summed up in the famous prison aphorism of, “You do you.” Meaning, get on with your business and let the others stay distracted by the mindless fear porn and meaningless chatter flowing from the MSM and our political leaders. Ignore it and get on with your life working on you. It’s 97% outside of our control anyway and keeping a tight locus of control is one of the keys to happiness and becoming a highly productive operator.

The flip side is I don’t want to be the Jews in Poland in the mid-1930s clapping each other on the back and repeating the Vegas Chamber of Commerce refrain, “What happens in Germany stays in Germany.” So it has to be a balance. Concentrate on yourself first and foremost and align with other credible, vibrant communities seeking a better future and a return to freedom, prosperity and sanity….and also keep throwing those $5 monkey wrenches in the establishment machine. Keep working actively to disengage, pull your financial and psychological support and keep recruiting those on the right, in the middle and any potentially sane classical liberals who see how warped their movement has become.

Peter Thiel…..

People like Peter, Eric Weinstein and Elon Musk, aren’t just the smartest guys in the room, they’re a standard deviation or two above the smartest guys in the room (and the rooms they hang out in aren’t exactly McSwiggans on nickel shot night). We’re talking almost an alien level of intelligence.

This doesn’t necessarily mean they would make a good leader or politician, plenty of smart people lack the moral compass, leadership skills or desire to be successful leading people or nations, but they should certainly be on the team for whoever fills that role.

Personally, I’m good with a Constitutional Republic. However, with the abject decline and corruption of the voting system and free press, we seem to have abdicated that noble role. If we can’t keep our Republic as old Ben Franklin desired, my Dream Team of a Lee Kwan Yew-style beneficent dictator and his cabinet include Peter Thiel, Elon Musk, Tony Robbins, Naval Ravikant, Jocko Wilink, Balaji Srinivisan and a handful of others. Any one of them would be magnitudes superior to the current and former clown show.

Quick question: Hank Aaron, Marvin Hagler, Midwin Charles Dixon, DMX….what did they all have in common? Besides being examples of black excellence, they all received the Covid vaccine and died shortly thereafter. Correlation doesn’t equal causation, and I’m sure it’s just a coincidence, but…shouldn’t someone ask the question?

Bitcoin n’ Guns

Every time my ego gets the best of me and I start thinking I’m fearless (the comps in my neighborhood are pretty soft, considering there’s no shortage of white woke harpies who consider it an existential event when someone is walking the dog outside without a mask and chirp hysterically), all I have to do is check out the Guns n’ Bitcoin crew.

These brave warriors are, “All in.”

Call them outlaws, samurai, freedom fighters.....these are individuals who still value honor, independence and sovereignty.

If 1776 happened 250 years late, this crew would be our respective Founding Fathers.

I said I wouldn’t do it again since it can’t scale, but due to the demand I’ve begun private coaching again. The focus is radical personal and financial liberation. After 25 years of trading/investing in tradfi and crypto at the highest levels, I’ve begun to take on a select group of clients interested in exponentially improving their life and finances.

Yes, it’s wildly expensive and yes it’s not for most, but the ROI and current/past client success is a powerful testimony.
