Full send Extraction Mode mentality is prevalent everywhere I look.
I’ve pointed it out repeatedly in this letter, from the widespread looting during the BLM riots to the widespread laundering taking place under the cover of the Ukraine War.
You can see it in Tik-Tok videos teaching Gen Z and Millenials how to be squatters or never pay back loans.
The neverending stream of retail thieves stuffing trash bags.
Or the ‘Scam Rappers’ dropping lyrics about stealing credit cards.
But these are all ‘small potatoes’ as Hyman Roth used to say.
The unparalleled champion in this field is of course the systematic plunder orchestrated by the governing elite and their chosen accomplices in privileged sectors which stands unparalleled in its audacity and scale.
This current game far transcends the clandestine exchanges of yesteryear—no longer confined to covert bribery or discreet tips to real estate magnates about rezoning opportunities in return for campaign contributions.
It has morphed into an unabashed and brazen form of open pillage. With each passing day, the custodians of power unabashedly parade their transgressions before us, casting aside any pretense of subtlety.
Nancy Pelosi whips around her stock portfolio using inside information and aggressive financial instruments to trade up a storm producing multiples of her yearly salary, often in a matter of days or weeks.
She earned millions on her recent NVDA trades and then weeks later repeated the deed buying cybersecurity firm Palo Alto Networks right after a top secret intelligence briefing on an imminent national security threat.
AOC was a bartender who could barely afford a flight to Washington when she became a Congressman, and needed someone to co-sign on her apartment because she had zero assets or money. A few short years later, she’s worth an estimated $29 million on a $200K a year salary. Someone explain the math on that one to me.
Everyone’s favorite Cherokee and financial ethics watchdog Liz Warren has been in office for nearly 30 years on that same $200K salary. Her estimated net worth is $73 million and she owns 10 real estate properties and a handful of yachts.
Congressmen, lobbyists and the rest of the DC swamp use privileged insider information and naked self-dealing that would land you and me in jail for decades to produce multi-million dollar annual windfalls and no one bats an eye.
Meanwhile, the average person’s life has gotten considerably worse in the last 3 years since Joe Biden and his DOJ goon squad assumed power.
Inflation has exploded, crime is rampant, wars are breaking out across the globe, and to top it off we’ve got 10 million illegals who have come across our border after receiving a gilded invitation from the Administration replete with benefits like cash payments, free housing, education and healthcare that native born Americans including veterans could only dream about.
I won’t even go into the lunacy and evil of locking down the world, closing schools and forcibly injecting millions of people with an experimental shot that has resulted in a massive increase in heart problems, cancer and other health issues.
It’s a bizarro world, and a bastardization of everything this country has stood for over the last 200+ years.
Under these circumstances, is it any surprise that the national discourse and mood has turned ugly?
The endemic corruption and lack of deferred gratification we see in Washington D.C. and around the globe has finally moved downstream into the general populace. It already existed in certain elements of society, but now it’s officially mainstream.
You only need to take a quick glance as the exponential growth in sports betting, gambling apps and crypto shitcoinery to get an idea that we’re hurtling into an antisocial dystopia where even the most illiterate can read the writing on the wall and have lost hope for the future.
This disillusion leads to a YOLO, ‘all-in’ mentality that is willing to take extreme risks (often against extreme odds) in an attempt to garner enough exit velocity to escape from the carefully constructed hamster wheel our leaders have given us.
And it’s more than just a gambling mentality.
It’s a society-wide reflection of the lack of opportunity and nihilism/hopelessness many feel.
It’s the reason Biden and his cronies in the media can try to point to the ‘greatest economy and employment numbers’ ever, but no one is listening.
Because the average person can feel it and see it with their own two eyes.
What the media are intentionally omitting is the reckless pain and disruption the Administration and Federal Reserve caused by their inflationary and other insane policies.
There were always people on the margins or struggling to get by but it was doable. But sadly, the 60%+ spike in food/energy and other necessities is wiping out a huge portion of households.
It’s like doing pushups. They’re hard. But they’re a lot harder when someone comes along and puts a boot on your neck.
Housing has never been more unaffordable, and a trip to the grocery store can produce anger or tears depending on your mood as the average bill has nearly doubled from a few short years ago.
Even the much vaunted super strong employment numbers and the 3.8% unemployment rate are a total myth. It is almost entirely a product of manipulated government statistics. Nearly all of the 'jobs' have gone to new 'arrivals' (i.e. illegal immigrants) and the remaining are a combo of part-time gig work or replacement of jobs that were destroyed during the madness of our Covid response.
A large part of the workforce never came back after the Covid shutdowns and the government does an excellent job at distorting the unemployment rate by using statistical tricks like the labor force participation rate and the birth-death component (essentially a way to add fictional jobs based on the number of people they expect to die or be born in a given period).
And the jobs that have been created?
In just February, 1.2 million immigrants (legal and illegal) gained a job. Meanwhile, 500k native-born Americans LOST their job. Since Covid, native-born workers have actually LOST 2 million jobs. All of the net job gains have gone to immigrants.
Over the last 3 months the US economy has shed 1.87million full time jobs. That's the largest decline since the GFC, outside the covid lockdowns.
The window is closing to address these ills. 2024 may be make or break for our country. We need new leadership, and accountability for the evils and self-inflicted wounds that have been visited upon us.
And that’s only the start. We need a spiritual renewal and as I’ve written many times before, a re-linking of authority and responsibility where institutions unlinked them.
No more fat doctors and cowardly generals.
In other words, actual ‘skin in the game’ from those making decisions.
Just as when a company collapses from bad management, we shouldn’t tolerate shareholders being wiped out while the CEO dances away with a 9 figure pay package.
The same approach should be levied against our leaders and politicians.
When crime explodes on a Mayor, Governor, DA or Police Chief’s watch, it’s time to go.
And when the nation is running up wallet wrenching inflation and eye-smacking deficits of an extra $1 Trillion every 100 days (on top of the $35T in existing debts), the politicians responsible for it don’t deserve their salaries or cushy revolving doors at the corporations they’re feeding at the trough.
If you’re not familiar with the trough, here’s Eric Weinstein with a great clip explaining it. Watch the next 2 minutes here.
Regardless, as I wrote two weeks ago, we can reverse all of this. It just takes the right people and some good old fashioned honesty and truth from the media and those of us at home.
The key is not to despair, as that is their goal. Fear, demoralization and nihilism are our chief opponents.
The antidote to nihilism is faith.
And you could do worse than Paul Atreides mantra when it comes to fear:
Take action as action creates clarity. Remain optimistic, as this too shall pass.
And prepare for further turbulence. It almost certainly will get worse before it gets better.

Supreme Court Knockout Blow in Colorado
In a unanimous 9-0 kick in the balls to the “we had to destroy Democracy to save it” crowd and screeching leftists everywhere, the Supreme Court ruled that President Trump can appear on all state ballots for the 2024 election.
As you’ll remember, I wrote numerous times that this case (like most of the other Trump cases) was an absolute joke and that the Court would dunk on the partisan hacks that brought it in the first place.
While I’ll take a quick victory lap and happily garner a 15 yard penalty post-touchdown for taunting, the more important thing to remember is not how dead on accurate I’ve been in forecasting these things, but the names of the people and publications who spent the last year telling you this was a legitimate case and that Trump was in trouble.
To improve your sensemaking please note the people/publications that told you this was a real case based on real law.
Remember them, and remember to discount everything they say on these topics in the future. Avoid the tendency for Gell-Mann Amnesia.
Joe Biden State of the Union
If you tune into any of the TDS deranged press, I’m sure you’ll hear them extol Biden’s SOTU speech, praising its excellence and his steely vigor.
As someone who attempts to impartially remove the partisan spin and assess things on a level playing field, I’ll admit the speech was effective for what Biden set out to do.
However, like everything else this Administration does, this had nothing to do with what’s best for the country or the citizens of this nation. It was a pure reinforcement cheerleading for the base.
In other words, it was a fairly desperate plea with the Democratic base not to forsake their dying king in his time of need.
The tragicomic revelation lies in how unbelievably low the bar has been set. The idea that the test for the most important and powerful person in the world is whether he can walk down the aisle without falling, followed by a stint as a teleprompter parrot after being shot full of the world’s most expensive cocktail of mental steroids just to keep him functioning is truly a pitiful reflection on how far we’ve fallen as a country.
With that being said, Biden avoided any obvious mishaps like his customary garbled sentences, long vacant pauses or falling down the steps on the way out.
The speech itself was a silly mish-mash of tired ideas and red meat for his base, all of which he had the power to do during his first 2 years in office but decided none of it was necessary until his poll ratings plummeted to the lowest levels of any President in history.
If you want to be cynical, it’s all a smokeshow.
I’m not going to waste much time writing about it because the bottom line is none of it really matters. The world will forget it in a day or two and he’s got 8 long months of stuttering and stumbling to go before the general election.
Here’s a few highlights:
The Cadaver in Chief offered a rehash of his campaign 2020 speech full of lies, fraudulent statistics and hate for half of the country.
He spent the first 10 minutes not on America or the American people, but on beating the same dead horse about we can win the war in Ukraine with just a few hundred billion dollars more and we must do this or
HitlerPutin will take all of Europe.Even his own military and staff lack faith in the possibility of winning this war, in its affordability, or in any significant change resulting from additional funding, apart from the laundry cycle of diversion and return of funds to our politicians. The only difference even more money will make is the number of Ukrainian men being sent to the meat grinder.
He droned on about the now rebutted narrative of Jan 6th being an insurrection and how we were this close to losing our entire Democracy and country to a handful of rowdy, unarmed protestors - the majority of whom were invited into the Capitol by police and fired upon first.
We’ll install a 25% minimum tax on billionaires and raise $500B over 10 years!
Wow! So amazing. If he implements this plan that means we’ll only need to raise $29.5 Trillion additional dollars thru bond sales to finance our annual deficits instead of the $30T+ expected.
In other words, it’s a meaningless drop in the bucket.
You could confiscate 100% of all billionaire earnings for 10 years and it wouldn’t move the needle.
The basic economic/financial illiteracy that exists on this topic is astounding. This is not a tax problem, it is 100% a spending problem. You cannot tax your way out of a $3T+ annual deficit. The debt is exploding and rising $1T every 100 days at this point and this is supposedly in a low unemployment, ‘good’ economy. When the recession hits, what do you think will happen to tax revenues and spending? Those $3T a year deficits will go even higher.
Look at California which went from a $100B surplus to a $30B deficit when the local economy there slowed down a tad.
The reality as I’ve written time and time again is unless you address entitlements and defense spending, there’s no chance to actually slow or reverse the debt spiral we are experiencing.
The surge in Bitcoin and gold is a testament to their role as the foremost indicators and a collective verdict on the future viability of our unchecked fiscal policies. Should this trend persist, we are on course for another bout of significant inflation, potentially escalating to Weimar-esque hyperinflation, or facing a 'reset' scenario necessitating the erasure of debts and a foundational overhaul of the dollar.
That’s why its imperative that you own some Bitcoin and gold. They’re 2 of the only assets that exist somewhat outside of the traditional monetary and financial system.
Here are a few other highlights from his speech:
Floating pier in Gaza - this has to be the dumbest idea I’ve ever heard. Basically, it’s a reboot of the Lebanon disaster during the Reagan years. Why risk American lives and capital to set up a super vulnerable ‘aid’ station? This is a pure November play to make sure Michigan doesn’t swing to Republicans.
Roe v. Wade - he’ll make it the law of the land if he gets a Democratic House and Congress. This begs the question: You had a Democratic House and Senate for the first 2 years of your Presidency. Why didn’t you do it then?
Biden referred to Laken Riley, the 22-year old Georgia nursing student who was murdered by an illegal as "Lincoln Riley", the USC football coach.
On the bright side, Biden in an unscripted gaffe referred to illegal immigrants as ‘illegals’ vs the preferred language choice of the left (migrants). This garnered shrieks of outrage from Democrats.
In a cynical move that belittled the Americans who are frustrated and concerned every time they go to the grocery store, pay their health insurance premiums or fill up their gas tank, Biden tried to blame the inflation crisis he helped create on Frito Lay and Snickers for shrinking the size of a chip bag/candy bar.
The glaring gap in his speech? A solid game plan for the border mess he birthed - something he could squash in a day with one stroke of his pen. Right now, it's all about immigration and the almighty dollar for the average Joe and Jane - both teetering on the edge. And trust me, it's only gonna spiral down from here if we keep marching to this beat.
On the bright side, the Jeo Boden meme coin mocking Biden has seen it’s market cap explode from $1M to a $40M market cap. No utility, no real value, just pure laughing in the face of America’s most embarrassing President.
Hypocrisy & Trial Balloons - The National Guard Deploys
The move by New York Governor Kathy Hochul to station the National Guard in subway stations as a measure against violent crime deserves careful scrutiny.
Firstly, there's a notable contradiction at play. Mainstream media and even the Mayor of New York City have been saturating the media landscape with the baseless claim that violent crime has significantly decreased, suggesting an unprecedented level of safety.
The obvious response to the above unless you’re a regime apparatchik is that if the numbers are true, why are we installing the military to patrol our subways?
Then again, it’s easy to show a decline in violent crime when you almost never arrest and prosecute the perps!
Regardless, there’s a reason people are afraid to ride the subways and anyone who’s been to New York in the last 2 years knows it’s more dangerous than it’s been in decades.
Second, let’s consider the hypocrisy. The NY Times and every Regime propaganda outlet squealed like stuck pigs when former President Trump was considering deploying the guard in 2020 to deal with the rampant violence, looting and murder of BLM and Antifa supporters during the Saint George riots.
When Senator Tom Cotton suggested bringing in the National Guard to counter the violence, the NYT shrieked that they were literally endangering black lives by even running the editorial in the paper.
Switch to a few years later and a Democratic Administration and the same paper is cheerleading Governor Hochul’s decision to bring in the Guard.
Here’s an alternative to bringing in the military - try enforcing the actual laws on the books.
The majority of violent crime is committed by a very small number of repeat offenders. Arrest, prosecute and imprison these 100-200 people, and violent crime will drop considerably.
If you don’t think it will work, just take a look at President Bukele’s actions in El Salvador. Once a murder breeding ground and gang-infested country, Bukele incarcerated notable gang figures and it’s now one of the safest countries (and fastest growing) countries in South America.
Leadership, hard money and hard laws turned this multi-decade basket case of a country into a flourishing state in a matter of months. The blueprint works. We can try it here, or we can continue to suffer rampant inflation, rampant deficits and rampant crime. The choice is ours.
Instead of the sane approach above, the Governor has decided to skip all the normal channels to fight crime and go right to quasi-martial law and TSA the subways with random searches and detainment.
What’s this all about?
I can’t say for sure but it does resemble the same playbook totalitarians and communists have run forever.
It's simple. The govt facilitates a massive invasion of illegals into the country causing crime and chaos. The people beg for protection from the government. The government implements biometric digital tracking, group punishment and suppression of individual liberties & offers 15 minute-type cities in "response.” Problem. Reaction. Solution.
And the public applauds in response.
Between the Vaxx passports, closed circuit facial recognition cameras, CBDCs, carbon tracking and a dozen other measures, a digital and physical surveillance state has kind of been the end game all along.
It’s the same roadmap communists have used throughout history:
Take power
Intentionally create danger & disorder
Wait for the public to demand a solution.
Establish a police state.
Relax though. I’m sure they’ll skip the mass murder step this time.
It does remind me of the epic quote/scene from Star Wars.
“So this is how liberty dies….with thunderous applause.”
Words v. Actions
On the subject of words v. actions in light of the 60 minute gas fest of verbal diarrhea Biden spouted out, Democrats in the US House of Representatives did their best to match him.
This week Speaker Mike Johnson brought to the floor a bill called the Laken Riley Act named after the 22 year old University of Georgia nursing student brutally murdered by an illegal.
The bill requires the federal gov't to detain & deport illegal aliens who commit burglary or theft. 170 Democrats voted against it.
Dems are complicit in abetting murder, rape, narcotics trafficking & human smuggling by enabling Biden’s border surrender.
Naval
It’s worth repeating. Here’s Naval Ravikant’s simple formula for becoming rich without getting lucky.

Wow, that was awesome. Totally agree with your “stay positive” comments. What other choice do we have? Quit and give it to them without a fight? Submitting to their facade of control and domination? That wouldn’t be near as much fun as mocking and ridiculing them for the foreseeable future
