Enough is enough. Let's see their smiles again.

An Open Letter to the Mamaroneck School District and Board of Education.

In a case of better late than never, the NY State Supreme Court struck down Gov. Kathy Hochul’s Mask Mandate as unconstitutional and in violation of state law. 

While the legal grounds for mask mandates have now been vaporized, the stronger argument is there isn't, nor has there ever been, the slightest scientific or medical justification for masks. Here is a meta of 150 studies showing masks provide ZERO protection or benefit and another great summation of existing studies. The CDC also recently came out and acknowledged cloth masks are ineffective.

Webster's defines 'Superstition' as an irrational belief that an object, action, or circumstance not logically related to a course of events influences its outcome.

It’s taken us 24 months to relearn something we've already known for close to a 100 years. 

Masks were never intended to stop viral spread. Even Fauci's leaked emails from February 2020 make brutally clear that masks are totally ineffective against a pathogen this size.  It's the equivalent of using a chain link fence to keep out a mosquito.

Despite the lack of medical (or legal) justification, the strongest argument by far against masks is a moral one. Quite simply, it's child abuse.

The sad reality is that masks distract children from learning. They muffle voices and make it impossible to read lips. 

By increasing airway resistance during exhalation, masks also lead to increased levels of carbon dioxide in the blood. And masks quickly become filthy bacteria rags and vectors for pathogens if they become moist or are used for too long.

More concerning, masks prevent socialization, emotional cues, interaction, intimacy, and smiles...all things our children desperately need and crave.  

As the WSJ noted,"Psychological harm of widespread masking is an even greater worry. Facial expressions are integral to human connection, particularly for young children, who are only learning how to signal fear, confusion and happiness. Covering a child’s face mutes these nonverbal forms of communication and can result in robotic and emotionless interactions, anxiety and depression. Seeing people speak is a building block of phonetic development. It is especially important for children with disabilities such as hearing impairment."

The damage over a temporary masking spell might be limited, but now for TWO FULL YEARS these children have borne the brunt of adult anxieties.

We've watched double-masked triple vaxxed adults talk openly about how 'children are resilient'.  When they make that claim, it presages that they know they're harming children...and they hope they'll manage to get over it one day. 

Well, based on the studies of teenage and adolescent depression, they're not 'getting over it'.  Federal authorities and mental health organizations just declared a public health emergency over skyrocketing depression and suicide rates.

Is it any wonder? Not only have kids been forced to wear an intimacy killing muzzle for two years, but they've been told by a lunatic minority of innumerate adults in person and on TV for two years that they're at grave risk of dying from an invisible virus that in reality doesn't affect them any more than the common cold and is significantly less deadly than the flu. Multiple studies including one in Germany showed ZERO deaths of kids over the age of 5 from Covid.  To boot, nearly every other state has done away with mask mandates and shown no deleterious effects.

And yet here we still are. 

I pray one day this generation of kids will forgive the adults for what we did to them. 

It's long past time to put this sad and sordid chapter behind us and end the mask mandates, once and for all. 

Politicians, admins, teachers and parents - do the right and courageous thing.  I beseech you, end the mask mandate today.

It's time to stop any further damage to our children's health and wellbeing.  This is the first time in history we've sacrificed the needs of children for a few innumerate and anxious parents.  

Enough is enough.  Let kids be kids again. And let their friends see and savor their smiles for years to come. 

Either way, February 1st Covid is over. With or without you. #CovidIsOver.

PPS: 2 hours later, the District released this notice. The Governor and Attorney General are appealing, so let’s see where it goes. Again, if parents and kids refuse to comply, this ends tomorrow. ✊🏽
