While it's not exactly shocking, it's certainly disheartening.
This recent travesty of criminal justice—perhaps one of the most egregious in the history of the Republic—saw former President Trump convicted on 34 counts by a prosecutor whose campaign was predicated on that very conviction.
This is straight from the Stalinesque playbook. As Lavrentiy Beria, Joseph Stalin's secret police chief, notoriously declared, "Show me the man and I’ll find you the crime.”
What we are witnessing is politics thinly veiled as justice.
Consider Judge Merchan's involvement: a man who contributed to a pro-Biden, anti-Trump initiative in clear violation of judicial ethics, with a daughter deeply embedded in Democratic politics and responsible for channeling millions to her party, was "randomly" assigned three Trump cases.
The particulars of the case have been rehashed and written about elsewhere extensively so I’m not going to revisit but here’s a quick laundry list of some of the more notable and egregious particulars.
In a prosecution that was so transparent, so biased and unprecedented that even a CNN legal analyst felt compelled to provide the laundry list below.
1. "The judge donated money... in plain violation of a rule prohibiting New York judges from making political donations—to a pro-Biden, anti-Trump political operation."
2. Alvin Bragg boasted on the campaign trail in an overwhelmingly Democrat county, “It is a fact that I have sued Trump over 100 times.”
3. "Most importantly, the DA’s charges against Trump push the outer boundaries of the law and due process."
4. "The charges against Trump are obscure, and nearly entirely unprecedented. In fact, no state prosecutor — in New York, or Wyoming, or anywhere — has ever charged federal election laws as a direct or predicate state crime, against anyone, for anything. None. Ever."
5. The DA inflated misdemeanors past the statute of limitations and "electroshocked them back to life" by alleging the falsification of business records was committed 'with intent to commit another crime.'
6. "Inexcusably, the DA refused to specify what those unlawful means actually were — and the judge declined to force them to pony up — until right before closing arguments. So much for the constitutional obligation to provide notice to the defendant of the accusations against him in advance of trial."
7. "In these key respects, the charges against Trump aren’t just unusual. They’re bespoke, seemingly crafted individually for the former president and nobody else."
8. "The Manhattan DA’s employees reportedly have called this the “Zombie Case” because of various legal infirmities, including its bizarre charging mechanism. But it’s better characterized as the Frankenstein Case, cobbled together with ill-fitting parts into an ugly, awkward, but more-or-less functioning contraption that just might ultimately turn on its creator."
Let’s face it - when even a CNN legal analyst acknowledges the proceedings as fraudulent, the gravity of the situation is unmistakable.
It's hardly surprising that the trial wasn't broadcast or livestreamed.
Even if it had been, the outcome might not have differed. Prosecutors, alongside their allied, hand-in-glove judges wield considerable influence within the legal system and can significantly sway a jury.
What remains unspoken is the intense social pressure jurors face in a staunchly blue city. While I wouldn’t put it beyond the security state to pay a personal visit to jurors and coerce or persuade them to make the ‘right’ call, it’s likely unnecessary in a jurisdiction like NYC.
Consider the two big firm lawyers selected for the jury. The prosecution was strategic in their choice, knowing these individuals could influence the panel by leveraging their legal 'expertise.'
Moreover, in a city deeply affected by TDS like Manhattan, these lawyers would face severe repercussions for an acquittal vote. Not only would their firms likely fire them, but they might also face professional censure and social ostracization from their peers and families. This represents a significant, though unlawful, social pressure to reach the ‘right’ verdict.
To get an idea of the immense social ostracization, please read the terrific letter from VC Shaun Maguire linked here.
Most people have no idea how tight the Woke/ESG/Anti-Trump cancel-culture noose has been in corporate America since 2020.
A someone who personally experienced our Kafkaesque criminal justice system and who has been the subject of numerous attempts of cancellation for my pro-libertarian/conservative views and loud denunciation of the Covid Scamdemic, the verdict didn’t surprise me in the least.
Despite the sorrow and pain this invokes as one cannot help but lament the Republic's decline—a fact that has become evident to many but was apparent to me two decades prior. The nation we inherited from our forebears is succumbing to violent, accelerated decay.
What we witness now starkly contrasts the old adage from Goldman Sachs, "Be Long Term Greedy."
Today's ethos is one of sheer short-termism and maximization, mirroring the broader political landscape. I recently discussed the "Extraction Class," whose operations proceed full-speed ahead, damn the consequences.
This group has always been present, albeit once with a veneer of discretion. Their aim: to accrue wealth without merit, yet ostensibly contribute positively without crossing into flagrancy.
In the past, a lengthy career in public service could culminate in a modest fortune, all the while paying homage to collective betterment and the common good.
However, the current scenario and the trends over the past two decades epitomize a brazen, unbridled rush to plunder resources immediately, disregarding any protective measures or traditional restraints established by more prudent, refined generations.
The era of politicians and elites discreetly benefiting from their status, gaining modest perks and respect, has vanished. Now, the acceleration is instantaneous, from 0 to 100 with the snap of a finger.
Figures like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Elizabeth Warren, Nancy Pelosi, and many on the Republican side too, amass wealth swiftly, their fortunes soaring to tens of millions within years, and potentially exceeding a hundred million within a decade.
Billions have been siphoned and laundered from conflicts in Iraq and Ukraine, alongside rampant insider trading and exploitation of the populace, with barely any media scrutiny.
Donald Trump, as an outsider, posed a threat to this entrenched system, and for that, they seek to exact the severest penalty—a testament delivered unequivocally.
The myopia of this approach is chilling. It reveals a system unwilling to regulate itself, prepared to sacrifice tradition and safeguards to thwart an outsider from ascending to the presidency.
Despite likely reversals due to numerous procedural errors, those in power remain indifferent, their focus fixed on generating sensational headlines before the elections.
And the implications are terrifying.
From a probabilistic viewpoint, this prosecution and conviction reveal vulnerabilities we would prefer remained closed.
The turmoil extends beyond Trump—he is merely a manifestation of a decaying empire beset by corruption and moral decline, now cannibalizing itself or responding to threats of transparency.
It's no accident that we are witnessing the collapse of numerous foundational institutions: the dollar, the media's pursuit of unbiased truth, the medical establishment during Covid, and now the criminal justice system—which many with firsthand experience recognize as far from 'just'.
Yet, a fragile facade has persisted, with nominal assurances that, despite its imperfections, it remains the superior system available.
This notion historically extended to perceptions of the police. Recognizably flawed, yet deemed essential, the "thin blue line" represented the last barrier safeguarding a civilized society from a predatory criminal element.
This boundary too has become obscured, eroded by the "Defund the Police" movement and the emergence of progressive ‘Soros DAs’ who selectively prosecute, often overlooking serious crimes unless they align with certain political or racial profiles.
With these protective lines now compromised, we're witnessing a surge in criminal activity, a deterioration in the quality of life, and the emergence of draconian prosecutions against those who challenge the Regime's control.
To believe this will end with Trump is a grave miscalculation.
Currently, he is the most conspicuous and formidable obstacle to the Death Cult Agenda, but undoubtedly, others will soon find themselves targeted as the state continues its pursuit of perceived ‘adversaries’.
The alarming reality is that these intentions are no longer covert—they are being declared openly.
We will do anything, break any tradition, law or norm in order to prevent Trump from becoming President.
The crucial insight here is that outcomes are not predetermined; they are based on probabilistic likelihoods.
My educated conjecture is that Judge Merchan will order Trump remanded to jail at sentencing while his appeal is pending. This decision is likely to be overturned by an appellate court, but the 48-72 hours required for this process seem predestined for a meticulously orchestrated propaganda display.
Imagine Trump, disheveled, clad in an orange jumpsuit, handcuffed, projecting an image of vulnerability and weakness.
His hair will be unkempt, his expression one of humiliation and embarrassment, and these images will likely be broadcast relentlessly over the next three months while his appeal awaits consideration by an admittedly biased appellate court.
I don’t believe they will try to kill him in prison, instead they’ll opt for the widespread electoral fraud on steroids we saw in 2020.
If for some reason, the numbers are too great to overcome and Trump still gets elected (in a fair election, I believe he would win in excess of 65% of the vote), then they’ll pull out all stops to ‘cancel’ him before the inauguration.
History may not repeat, but it certainly rhymes.
And we’re seeing a very Stalinesque display of power in the name of ‘Democracy’.
Two things are certain:
We are navigating dangerous, uncharted waters in America.
And this guy’s not banging any porn stars.
The harsh Black Pill is that they will never allow him to win; they will resort to either extreme cheating or even assassination, and outspoken conservatives will be targeted and persecuted.
They once used a marksman and a bullet to take out a President who opposed their agenda, now it’s a judge and a jury.
Their methods have changed, their motives haven’t—from shooter to showcase.
If you think this onslaught of lawfare is normal, you’re delusional.
This is the modern-day assassination.
This is political persecution.
Nothing more.
The weaponization of the law and media to silence, bankrupt, jail, and keep Trump off the ballot is the most un-American betrayal of our Constitutional principles that most of us have seen in our lifetime (nod to those who were in Dallas in ‘63).
And more and more Americans know it.
And if you’ve got that pesky Aunt or TDS deranged co-worker or friend who will be gloating, here’s a couple of options if you choose to engage these celebrants:
Ask them what the underlying crime was? 98% of the people (I’m being generous) have no idea what the case is about. They think he got ‘caught’ paying hush money to a porn star (which isn’t illegal). Explain to them what the actual charge was, and how Hillary and many others admitted doing the same. Since most of these donkeys are beyond reason, the better choice is to just mock them.
When they crow that “Trump’s a felon!” Smile and say, “Yeah, just like Nelson Mandela, Mahatma Gandhi and Lech Walesa.
When they say, “Trump’s a felon what do you think about that? Answer, “He sure is. And the best part is, I’m voting for him anyway. And so are more African-Americans and Hispanics than at any point in history you racist pig.”
Black pills are easy to find over the last few days. White pills, a bit harder. Here are a few to help you keep the faith.
The conviction will make Trump more popular than ever, especially with a large contingent of the black and brown Democratic base who now see him as a victim of the same prejudicial criminal justice system they’ve been subject to for most of their lives. As the video below and hundreds of tweets like Ron Rule’s indicate, many people will now vote for Trump as a protest against this undemocratic travesty.
Republican politicians may be forced to actually stand up, and become a real opposition party.
Win or lose, Trump and the Covid disaster has awakened a lot of people. Once you ‘see’ it, it’s impossible to unsee.
Patriots and Sovereigns should prepare themselves for a world without Trump and a Biden second term. That’s not written in stone, but as a gambling man I’d say they’ve made it pretty obvious that they will do and say anything, including commit massive and widespread election fraud (again) to ensure a Democratic win.
Do not despair, but continue to do everything possible to push against that outcome.
That means:
Actually voting. As Jesse Kelly likes to point out, conservatives are big on talking about Civil War and what they would be willing to do, but can’t even be bothered to go vote in a primary or local election.
Vote and lobby hard locally. You have much greater control over your immediate vicinity and locus. Use it.
Register others to vote. If you can spend 3 hours a day doomscrolling Twitter, you can make sure 100 new friends or community members are registered to vote.
Keep fortifying yourself financially and logistically. There’s no limit to what they’ll do or what that might mean so prepare yourselves for all possible outcomes including loss of power, internet, supplies or mobility for an extended period of time.
Continue to learn, embrace and support decentralization. Whether it’s decentralized money (Bitcoin), communications or logistics, those attempting to consolidate power hate when it’s dispersed far and wide.
Keep the faith. In the end, the good guys always win. Whether Trump is the candidate or not, he’s opened a lot of eyes to the corruption and evil of the system.
And here’s Tucker Max with some complementary advice:
Donald Trump arrived on the scene without need of money, desire of elite prestige, or fear of being disliked or called mean words. He was unleverageable. There were no fissures they could grab onto to rip him apart. And he tore down the wizard’s curtain and showed us the machinations of their corruption.
That curtain cannot be drawn again.
